Hey! I am only 19 years old, and alot of people think that i dont know what im talking about because alot of 19 year olds dont stay together.
When My boyfriend left for basic I was terrified. to be honest i had only met him 3 months prior and he told me after 2 weeks that he was leaving. he would have loved to become a couple before but i needed to see how i handled him being gone in bootcamp before i made the commitment. I felt like because i didnt make this commitment to him that i wouldnt hear from him when he was there and that he would only write his mom and family. I couldnt have been more wrong. he was only allowed to write sundays so the first sunday he wrote his family and the next he wrote me. and thats how it went the whole time. but he would also put in little things at the bottom of his moms letters to show me so it was like i was hearing from him all the time. He WILL write as much as possible. but also write him all the time ! dont limit it to just when he writes you cause he isnt at liberty to write all the time.
Now if you are talking about a deployment, deployments can do really weird things to the men. im still trying to figure it out my self. as i am 7 months into my first one.
If you ever need to talk, i will for sure listen cause i know how hard it is to talk to people. I only talk to 2 of my friends about anything with my boyfriend because they are the only ones that listen even if they dont relate.
