Stay by your phones Moms.
I just got my call from my Sailor.
He passed Battlestations early this morning. (Was an all night event.)
Was FANTASTIC to her his voice and the confidence he has is off the chart.
Joining the Navy has been one of the best decisions my son has made.
So go get those calls, Moms.
See you all next Friday.
He said as far as he knows, everyone passed.
From what my Sailor said, there seems to be a schedule that was posted for them calling. He was given 1 hour of phone time and another group was coming in to make their calls when he was getting ready to sign off on our call.
They should all have phone time from what I have been told, just a lot of them and they all get long calls this time.
Wish you all good thoughts and Congrats on our Sailors getting through all the training and Battlestations.
My son called on Friday and I got to talk to him for 2 hours!! Then he called Saturday and yesterday again.
On Friday he was so exhausted after battlestations and being awake at that point for 36 hours. Saturday he was better, but 2 hours after they got to sleep Friday night he was woke for guard duty for 2 hours. He was so excited to talk about their Captain's Day!
I'm so proud of everyone in their division.
I totally agree. Was nice to put a face with the "names" we have been communicating with.
Graduation was impressive, to say the least. But the best part was seeing my son and being able to spend a few hours with him. Too bad he had duty the night before and was so tired. Also had duty again grad night at 0000-0200, than was shipping out at 0230 for Shepherd AFB in Texas for "A" school. Not a lot of sleep, but hopefully he got some sleep on the plane . Will be nice when he can finally have his cell phone with him and can talk a little more frequently.
Have a great evening, MOMs.
Let's all keep in touch.
