This discussion is for those who have an SR in Ship 04, DIV 820 and 821,  PIR 10/14/11.   These are brother divisions and will be spending a lot of time together from what I understand.  Remember OPSEC rules and for security purposes...no pictures of your SR or names of SR.  God bless you all!

Hey everyone, just got a call from my SR!  They 5-0 their drill today so they all got to call as a reward!  I guess they get to be on the "hall of fame" ?? for doing so well, etc.  Not sure I am saying this right, we talked so fast trying to get everything in...not certain it stuck in my brain correctly, ha!  But, he said their division is just doing awesome!!  So happy for them!  Any AIRR Crew mom's on here, I know there are a lot of SEALS, he said 75 SEALS and 14 AIRR crew in this division, wow!  Anyway, hope everyone has a great weekend, 5 more days for us until we leave.  Blue candle burning and lots of prayers for the Battlestations!!

So good to hear my SR's voice! I was so surprised to get the phone call but so thankful!

JulieinAZ, I got one, too!  ..I know...same here, trying to soak it all in.  The ONE time I didn't forward our home phone to a cell and he called.  I didn't even have my cell.  Thank goodness my husband did and he tried that!  It WAS a reward for this last inspection.   It was so good to hear his voice.  We are getting so close ladies!  Praying they do their best right until the end.  Keep it up boys!

Oh ladies we are all so close! Less than one week...hang in there- safe travels to everyone!!
OMG!  We are all so EXCITED!  Just got home from our lake house.  No internet :(  Got a call from my SR on Friday on our drive up.  Can't wait to see him!!!!  Can't stop smiling :)  :)   :)

CAN NOT WAIT FOR THAT I AM A SAILOR CALL!!!!

ME EITHER!!!!!! :)

Today's The Day, Ladies! Been up sending love and prayers. Can't wait to hear how they all did! And can't wait to see them:)

Me too!  Friday can't get here fast enough!

I'm in a bit of a different situation than most of you.  I am only the step-mom, but I love my sailor as much I love my own kids.  I don't get the calls, though, his mom does.  Which I encourage, because I know how it must feel to her.  I can't wait to see him this Friday, though.  I can't wait to hug him and let him know how proud we are.  I have been writing him with funny things almost every other day, and all I can do is hope he has gotten all my letters.  We are all going, my husband--his father, my son, my daughter and my foreign exchange student from Norway.  We are flying up from Texas.  His mother sent the list of the people who should be invited and I am not on it, she put herself and her father on it, and my husband and my son.  My daughter is only 5, so I think she can go in with my husband.  Now, my sailor's mother and her father aren't even going.  I know they can't change the list once they enter it, but I was wondering if anyone knew about the extra's waiting in the Welcome Center and if most of the extra people eventually do get in to see the ceremony.  Does anyone know?

Last weeks PIR had 13 divisions I think and everyone was able to get seated-someone said their extra guest didint even have to wait.... this week there are 11 so that seems hopeful. That is too bad about the list but it sounds like you are taking the high road. Your stepson will know you are there and I am sure it was not easy for him to submit a list without you- limiting it to 4 has to be hard for many with larger families.  AND never see yourself as "only" the step mom....step moms are there for the tough stuff too- and sometimes it is a blessing to have so many people in your lives that love and support you!  Stay strong- only 3 more wake ups till we see all our boys!

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement.  I have to take the high road for my boy.  It's the only road to take.  It isn't fair to him and all his hard work if I don't.  Thanks for treating me as well as you would treat a "real" mom.  And I know it was hard for him to leave me off.  Thanks for letting me know that I may be able to get in anyway.  I was hopeful, but I didn't want to get my hopes up too far, just in case....

We are counting the hours now!  Only 71 more!!!!
