This discussion is for those who have an SR in Ship 04, DIV 820 and 821,  PIR 10/14/11.   These are brother divisions and will be spending a lot of time together from what I understand.  Remember OPSEC rules and for security purposes...no pictures of your SR or names of SR.  God bless you all!

Someone suggested a watch, my son collects shot glasses so my younger son had one engraved with his grad date and Navy emblem.  We are bringing his favorite candy :). Maybe take him out to dinner and have them sing to him. (they act embarassed but I think they really enjoy it inside!)   More $$ options: a mobile hot spot for the barracks as I hear the connection is poor at best...ipod if doesnt have one or new accessory for that (head phones, arm band etc...itunes card)....from my sons letters he will just be happy to be hanging out with us for a few days and not expecting too many ellaborate plans etc...  Are you coming to the meet and greet Thurs night? We also are gathering again Friday evening after they guys are back in their barracks at same hotel... just FYI
Oh, that would be really nice. Thanks for the invite.  We won't get in until about 10pm.  I can't take off many days from work, so I wanted to work on Thursday and be off Friday and Monday to spend as much time with him as possible.  We are staying at a different hotel, but I would love to join on Friday night, if everyone isn't too tired.  I have a 5 year old that may crash early.  Thanks for all the great suggestions on the gifts.  I may get him a mobile hot spot as he did ask his mom for his cell phone which she is sending to us to take to him, so that may be just the thing.  Thanks again!

I have a 10 yr old and 13 yr old so we hope to be able to be at the pool... figure they have to be on base before 10 so prob by 9pm to be safe...

Just got the wonderful call saying "I'm a Sailor  - I'm done til graduation" What an amazing call that was. I am so proud to call him my son!  He is so bored now that he has nothing to do. He said they will practice for graduation and that pretty much takes care of it. We are so looking forward to seeing him. He mentioned that I can only bring him his cell  phone and his zune. He is not allowed anything else. He was so looking forward to having his laptop. Oh well. We'll just have to send to him once he is in Florida.
Had THE call from my SR!! Yeah and congrats to all 821!!

Anne Darlene...I was thinking about you today!  So glad his eardrum and other things healed enough to graduate!

So thankful.  See you there!  Travel safely...EVERYONE...travel safely!

Got my call as well! I've had the biggest grin on my face all day! Now just anxiously waiting for friday!! Looks like everyone in 821 and 820 all passed! So proud of all of our guys! :]
Are we suppose to wear name tags??  How do we find each other ;)
Thank you to all the truly lovely women who have been here for me! I get shy when it comes to goodbyes for some reason, which I just remembered won't count with all of you as our sons will know each other and so will we, for a long time yet, God willing. I loved being part of such a caring and nurturing group of women. I completely forgot to thank everyone yesterday, was just so excited my guy got over his ear thing and graduated. It never did burst! What a blessing! Love to all of you. I'll be wearing one of lala's ribbons so if we don't make it to the meet and greet I hope to meet some of you after PIR and of course AFTER we hug our guys:)!

I won't be at the meet and greet either, but am wearing one of Lala's ribbons as well.  Hope to see you at PIR as well.

I feel SO blessed to have been with this group of women!  See you there.  Travel safely!!

Is anybody going to be putting anything in your local newspaper about you Graduate? Just wondering what to write. Or if there is anything out there to help. Thank You!
My son told me soon after he arrived at boot camp the Navy took information from him and said it would be put in his local paper.  I haven't seen anything yet though.  Was going to give it a week.  Maybe I will check with the RTC fb.  Will let you know if I find anything out.
