Hi My name is Christina and I leave December 6th
Nick's - What rating (job) are you signed up to go in as?
Master at Arms for the navy reserves
Hi Adams Mom! My name is Skyla and I am also leaving in December from Oklahoma. I'm 21 and the oldest daughter & the first one to be leaving home. I think it's really special that you and other moms are so involved with your kids & their decisions to join. I'm nervous and excited and looking for people to connect with that also go in December until then. I saw you post in a few other groups so I figured I'd say hello! :)

Skyla815 when do you leave??

My ship date is 12/19 but it will be the week before sometime I'm assuming like everyone says. What about you? Your rate? I'm SN.
I leave 12/6 and I'm going to be a MA for reserves and I'm thinking we maybe in the same division cause i havent heard a lot of girls or women going at all
I have been slowly coming back to N4M multiple sites...I find that the closer my son's date gets, the more nervous I become. Sometimes reading what will be happening is worse then not knowing! Not sure what to focus on first. There is so much to read! Once we get the date they ship out will we also get the PIR date so that we can begin to make reservation?
when does he ship???? and his recruiter will now his PIR... it can get set back if he gets hurt or anything else that happens.. but his recruiter will tell you after he goes
Hi Skyla - What is your position after you finish basic training?  I am so proud of my son's decision to join the Navy and admire all of you who have made that commitment to serve our country.  I hope you will be able to connect with others through this site.  Seems like a great place for everyone to connect and learn about what is to come.

There is a December group at http://www.navyformoms.com/group/leavinforbootcampindecember

You can find a lot of other December moms, wives, girlfriends and others in that group, as well as a lot of information that is unique to December boot camp recruits.

He is suppose to leave on Dec. 27th but from what I have read it appears it will be Dec. 13. How soon do you need to plan for accommodations? I am sure lodging is a premium although not sure how many people opt for Chicago in February!
