My son is Ship 4 Div 802! I'm a newbie to the Navy lingo, but very excited to talk to other moms with sons in the same division!
Holy cow woman that is hard. You poor thing. Nathan is my oldest of three. His younger brother of 16 is also joining the Navy this summer (DEP). My heart bleeds for you really. I can't imagine how you must feel. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. I mailed out 6 letters so far so you're doing fine. We are used to having our boys around and this is how we are coping with their being gone..
Make sure you stay busy!

I am both equal amounts of proud and scared!

I added you as a friend! I am sure as this journey continues I will have lots of questions and I would be very greatful for your assistance! I look forward to getting to know you! Thank you for your kind offer and support. I can't believe he's only been gone 10 days! It feels like months.
For starters there are a few things you need to know. BC for this 800 division will be different for you than the other divisions. first of all, maybe 3 phone, and I know you woulndnt want to miss them. 1st call is I am Here(already got), 2wks later another and finally the I'm a Sailor call after Battlestations. The other divisions get rewarded with phone calls, SEAL candidates do not.
If you have a picture of your recruit as your profile, you may want to change it now. At one point the instructors will come on here and print out conversations. If they are able to link you with him, they will in front of everyone. embarrassing and not good if your recruit plans on flying under the radar. Also if your screen name has his name in it, you may want to change that too.

I took down pictures the day I put them up. Found out in Community Guidlines that no SEAL candidate pictures are to be posted. Nothing has my last name or my sons. Lol I don't think my picture gives away too much - it's not even our cat!
Keep the 411 coming!
Thanks :0)
