Another day and no letter. I'm sure they are so busy and haven't had much time to do anything but I was really hoping to get a letter today. I miss him so much, this is by far the longest I have ever gone without talking to him. I sure hope Monday we get a letter, I just want to know he is ok.

I feel the same way! I am so use to texting him any

time just to see where he was or what was going on.

I'm right there with you kristie.  I've decided my SR didn't have time to write last Sunday and will hopefully write something tomorrow.  If that's the case, I won't see anything until late next week.  I'm trying to be patient.
Me too. I think, according to the day to day post I saw, my son had his wisdom teeth pulled yesterday so I really hope he is feeling up to writing a quick note. Anything would be great.

Amen......feels like he has been gone 3 months instead of 3 weeks!

I'm in the same boat, I did get a note on the form letter but nothing since then.  My other son is currently in Marine Corps boot camp and by 2 1/2 weeks in I'd gotten two letters.   I'm totally stalking the letter carrier! Hopefully he has time to write one tomorrow and I'll see something by the middle of next week.

Good luck to all!

Janis

I know what you mean. I  check the mailbox everyday and am disappointed. It's so hard not being to know how things are going. The total cut off from all communication is terrible. You are right about texting and keeping in touch. We were used to knowing how he was all throughout the day even if he was busy working or going to school. I thought they had the chance to write letters last Sunday. I guess I was wrong.
When we finally get those first real letters it will be great.
Peggy I feel the same way. Up until a year ago I was a single mom for most of my sons life. He has been as much of a rock for me as I for him. This week has definitely been the hardest with dealing with him gone. I too am so happy that he is doing something for him and finding out who he is. He deserves only the best life had to offer. I am so happy he will meet people who have the same ideas and goals. True and lasting friendships.
Very true. We let go of our boys only to get back men. I couldn't be more proud.
Peggy, I have most of the same feelings as you do. I had my son for 19 years as well and I'm having a very hard time with the not being able to talk to or him him or at least text him. I've also had the same feelings of it being like a death. I sob sometimes when I think about him. When I'm not sobbing I'm crying. I really need to get a letter soon. I miss him alot. I know I'll probably feel alot better once I hear from him and can hear from him that he is doing ok.
I still haven't heard a word from my daughter. It is tough.
We will all get a letter soon, we have to just keep our heads high... we are here for eachother :) Hope this kind of helps
