My Daughter called this morning from sick bay because they pulled her molors and needed more back ground info. I was able to talk with her for 30 minutes which was like a Christmas gift to me! That being said, she told me to get the message out to all moms that letters are gold! They can receive mail Monday through Friday and its passed out right before lights out. She shares her space with 30 other girls and its very important for the girls to get a letter everynight to help them connect with the outside world and keep them strong for BootCamp! I was told to reach out to all her friends, family and anyone who will write her and that goes for the other girls too! When they dont get mail, they go to bed sad... So get those letters out!!! Post Cards are great too, newspaper clippings, photos printed on paper...Check your kids Face Book and find thier friends and get them to write.

What ship and div is your daughter in? My son is ship 9 div 016. I know he had to have his wisdom teeth out but never heard from him. I sure hope he is ok. Have you gotten any letters back yet?
I received my first letter from my daughter yesterday...It was like Christmas!! My Daughter is on Ship 7 division 009, you should be getting a letter very soon! but keep writing!! if your son has any friends, get them to write!! they need those letters....
My daughter left me her facebook login so I could post her address as soon as I got it. I am hoping her friends are writingvas I know how important mail-call is , so not only do I attempt to write daily I am stalking family members to write also! I wish I got a phone call but my first real letter came Thursday and it was the best day since she left! She is great and said it is not as bad as she thought. 4 years in NJROTC had her prepared.

Yes, my daughter was raised cowgirl tough, but she soon found out how tough Bootcamp is....LoL

Will that change her Graduation date?
