Safe travels pensgal- I will be flying out in the morning- looking forward to meeting you all!
We only heard from Jon once since they arrived in Pensacola.
Guess he had hoped to room with a particular sailor; didn't happen. However, that guy is across the hall. Jon's roommate has been there for about 18 months. Wondering if maybe they always put a sailor new to the base with someone who's been around for a while and already knows the ropes? Said they slept til about 1 p.m. Sunday since didn't get to bed til about 6 a.m. Late yesterday were making a run over to the NEX for toilettries, etc. Said he was located in the ghetto barracks (guess those are the ones to the left side of the main gate. He got a new phone but didn't yet set up his answering message so no way to leave him a message. We just drove into Atlanta about 2 hours ago. Stayed in Bowling Green, KY last night. It was great getting to see the face behind all the commenting for these last 8 weeks. Hope you will share with me news you hear from our guys for IT school. Probably be a couple of weeks before they start because I think I saw something where a new school had started the first or second week in October. Hope you guys had a safe trip home. I am dying to print out my pictures; may do that in just a little bit. Enjoyed seeing and sharing conversation with all of you. - Best wishes, Judy and Bill
Hi Ladies! I didn't get to meet any of you at the graduation, and we didn't make it to the meet and greet.
We were rushed to get there and rushed to check out of the hotel in Libertyville and catch a 12:10 train,
so it was a hectic time for us. Sure was a wonderful graduation and such a proud time for us! (and emotional
for some of us moms, too... I'm sure I'm not the only one!!!) My son is in Pensacola now. Hope you and your sailors are all doing well. Blessings!
