For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome Mom's in this Division, we may get a scheduled call from our SR's today. My SR told me in a letter last week it was going to be Tuesday Nov. 22 They have Battle Stations so it may happen late? Please post if you get a call. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Melissa- I know how you feel. I missed my husbands calls and he left a bunch of sad voicemails with a quivering voice as well saying how tough it is. He's a bit older too (26) and was pretty dang mentally prepared for this (from a Navy family) so I know it has to be really rough on the young ones. He also said letters are the only thing that get him through. I could write your sr a letter while I'm writing my husband today! If you want I can direct message me is name. My mother in law did this for recruits in her daughters division at bootcamp and it went over really well... Recruits felt like they were connected to the outside a bit!

Melissa and haymcdee.... this just breaks my heart to hear they are having problems. My son is happy being there and is really looking forward to his future. Although when he left he said write me once a week mom but now he says write me several times a day. I don't mind writing others when I write to him. My son is also a prankster so I was asking my husband this weekend what do I write to him we don't do that much that he would care about so I wrote him a joke. Of course on the back of the letter I wrote I was pulling his leg just to make sure he didn't get upset. At any rate any of you wonderful caring mom's and wives can let me know where and whom to send to at my email address at shjohn76@yahoo.com. The men and women are giving of their life for our country so we need to all stand together to help them however we can!

Hi Ladies, Great idea LucasMome. My son is in this division also. He sounds mostly good but, seems to be struggling a bit. I think he thought it wouldn't bother him so much to be away from everyone here at home. I have been writing daily and have sent his address to other family members so I hope they are writing too. My SR expressed the importance of mail too. I'd be happy to send an extra letter to any SR who may need one. My email address is livingwellmassage@gmail.com

My SR has enlisted the help of one his friends to write letters to another recruit. I don't know who, but at least one recruit is getting some extra mail. I also asked to find out if anyone not receiving mail wants news from their hometown or certain sports or anything else that I can pass on.

Thank you everyone, but after reading some recruits are not getting any mail at all I would feel selfish. I write my recruit twice a week , atleast he get some mail. Today I am going to write short notes for the whole week so he can get a letter everyday. I am really upset with his other relatives does understand why they can not drop a line or two. I work about twelve to 14 hours a day and my next day off will be graduation.

Are any of you playing Trivia Tuesday on RTC's facebook page? I was the fourth person to answer correctly last week, so close! Hoping to get it this week...the Wacky Wednesday photos have all stumped me so far though. Would be so great if 012 would get a win and photo!

Mom's keep writing your SR's daily. It helps get them through each day and they look forward to the end of the day when they get a little bit of your words encouraging them to get through the next day.
