Hi fellow Ship 04, Div. 19 Moms.  I thought we could start this "discussion" group since we all have something in common and go back to the main PIR 12/16/2011 group whenever we have questions for all of the veteran moms who have been so helpful.  We're in this together!

Thanks for the information Celia NJ, I will be looking forward to a letter next week.  Hope all is well with everyone.

Hello, everyone.  We should be getting some letters for our SR's this week.  Can't wait to compare notes.  I made a reservation for PIR at the Residence Inn, Waukegan.  I asked my son in my most recent letter if he had any objection to me sharingh is last name with the other moms in this discussion for his division.  We'll see what he says.  We would have to do it by private message ONLY.  I told him that there were seven moms from his division in here so far.  Let's all friend each other and make sure we can message each other.
Celia-I sent you a private message yesterday.  Let me know :)

My son left October 25th and he to Graduates Dec 16th....now let me ask.  Does anyone know about when we should receive a actual letter? I had the box of clothes and a very short note on the back of the information pack .... but I need a actual letter from him.     I wish they had Navy Cam for Moms during bootcamp :)  !!! I have never gone this long without seeing his cute smiling face

Wow, he is graduating earlier than my son..the 29th..
Gretchen, my son left 10/24.  He called very briefly this past Wednesday (for some clearance info).  He said he wrote a letter but wouldn't be able to mail it until Sunday (today).  So, we should have a letter by midweek.
I good Celia... I hope my son wrote too....so I will keep a look out for mail this week.   I just hate note hearing anything at all

Thanks for the info, Celia.  I was thinking that since they apparently are only able to write and read letters on Sundays, that perhaps we might be lucky enough to get a "real" first letter from them this week.  I'll report when I hear something from him!

Okay ladies letters are arriving :). Anyone received one today? I'm anxious to know am hoping to finally get something from my son :)

I got 2 letters. One from my son who is in this div and one from my other son who is PIR on 12/2. He called last week and will possibly get another call if they pass inspection by Friday :)))

It is getting exciting :)))

My son was in PIR 12/2 and got moved due to PASS to 12/16.  He might know both or one of your sons. Congrats by the way!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Ok my son sent me his first real letter, it was two pages...I was so excited. And a letter from his brother came the same day, guess cause they only write on Sundays???

Anyways he told me to find other moms of his friends, he said you were all on here. I know we cant give out names publicly so if anyone wants to be friends with ship04 div 19 let me know :)

He is really excited that he met up with some guys whose moms were on this web site. I was really surprised it even occurred to him to think of it :)

Dawn in MI

PS: he sent me a few names but I wont post them publicly :)
