For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

My daughter left the same day. It was tough. But she was so excited.

I haven't received "The Box". I'm doing good. I just try to stay busy. I know it was a great opportunity. Just gonna take some time to get adjusted. I hope she is home for Christmas. Will you be attending the graduation?
Hello, yes we also received "The Box"...! Have any of you gotten your form letter? I asked when she called to let us know she was there if the yelling had started yet.."not too bad" lol

Hey Ladies,
Well today marks one week ago my son left. Still getting used to it being so quite around here !! No form letter or box yet , I imagine from everyones comments we should receive something this week. I am doing good staying busy and starting to think about re-painting rooms and some big projects to undertake;) Hope your all holding up and looking at the bright side , what amazing things our kids are going to achieve through this experience.

My daughter left October 26 for boot camp. I received her box of clothes on Nov 1 and Friday Nov 4 I received her form letter. She wrote a brief message on the back, which was awesome (wasn't expecting something she wrote). I have since flooded the post office with letters. Hope to hear from her soon. Good luck to all of you....
So I got "the box" today .....my son left on the 2nd also...no form letter yet either. ....@ Chris .... my son left out of Portland too ..
My daughter too left for bootcamp... she left on the 7th. I know EXACTLY how you feel... hang in there you're not alone.
