Kim,

I haven't received "The Box".  I'm doing good.  I just try to stay busy. I know it was a great opportunity.  Just gonna take some time to get adjusted.  I hope she is home for Christmas.  Will you be attending the graduation?

Hello, yes we also received "The Box"...! Have any of you gotten your form letter? I asked when she called to let us know she was there if the yelling had started yet.."not too bad" lol

@ Kim,

I'm doing good so far, very excited to meet the confident young woman that will be coming home after all this is completed! How are you doing ??

Tina

Hey Ladies,

Well today marks one week ago my son left. Still getting used to it being so quite around here !! No form letter or box yet , I imagine from everyones comments we should receive something this week. I am doing good staying busy and starting to think about re-painting rooms and some big projects to undertake;)  Hope your all holding up and looking at the bright side , what amazing things our kids are going to achieve through this experience.

I am really looking forward to graduation , :):)

Hello

My daughter left October 26 for boot camp. I received her box of clothes on Nov 1 and Friday Nov 4 I received her form letter. She wrote a brief message on the back, which was awesome (wasn't expecting something she wrote).  I have since flooded the post office with letters. Hope to hear from her soon. Good luck to all of you....

My son left for bootcamp on 11/1/11 as well. So far, we've received "the box" and he tried to call on Sunday, but I missed it! That was so disappointing-I had no idea he would be able to call so soon.I'm looking forward to hearing from him this next Sunday, though...
my son left for bootcamp on 11/1/11 also  from new york.  we got the "box" yesterday..no phone calls yet.  do you have his address yet?  where is your son from?
My son, Chris is from Portland OR. We got his address from his recruiter on Monday, so I've already sent 4 letters! (Today is Tuesday) I'm sure he is fine by now,but when he landed in Chicago last Tues, he was already a bit homesick, which of course hurt my heart. He is not a pup, rather 26 years old and ready to make some wonderful life changes. While he hadn't lived at home for years, we worked together for the last 5 years, so I miss him tons!! He is the youngest of my 3 children and the only one to venture far away.
My husband left Nov 2. I got the arrival call that night and a longer call on Sunday. I also got his box today but still no form letter!

So I got "the box" today .....my son left on the 2nd also...no form letter yet either. ....@ Chris .... my son left out of Portland too ..

My daughter too left for bootcamp... she left on the 7th. I know EXACTLY how you feel... hang in there you're not alone.
