Where is his a-school? He's not allowed to take anything with him except what can fit in his backpack, and you would have to give it to him at the airport, he can't take anything back to the RTC barracks. I'm not very creative so can't really help with gift ideas aside from maybe mailing him a care package after he gets to a school, but wanted to make sure you knew he can't take anything back with him! If his A school is in GL, he will have to move over there Fri after graduation, so you can't bring it to PIR but after he gets moved in and you pick him up again for the night you can bring it then, he's allowed to bring things back to that base.

Also, he has to carry everything you give him, and keep it locked up when he isn't in his room.  Some of the barracks dont' allow food, none allow candles, and he might not be able to display pictures in frames, and scrap books are bulky.    Maybe a handmade coupon books of hugs and kisses, and stuff you can do long distance?  Like a coupon for a sexy (but not indecent) photo?  A coupon for a massage when he comes home on leave?  A teeny tiny handmade book of love poems to fit in his wallet?

thanks! wow i was totally gonna make this bulky thing but now i know. his A school is in mississippi. lol anti m i love how you put "not indecent" :) no we dont do none of that indecent stuff around here! ayways thanks for the ideas and the tips to both of you!

I got him a little photo album a flat small one from target and signed up for shutterfly and they give out tons of free prints and I just put some in and everytime I got more free prints I had them shipped to him so he could put them in.

If you are both religious, maybe you could make a little pocket sized book of favorite bible verses, add some quotes and maybe a poem, and some pictures.  It could be very small in size, but huge in heart.

im more religious then he is but thats a good idea! i think i might just do like a little quote book with an inspirational quote for everyday to get him through A school.

That sounds like a really great idea, very sweet and there will for sure be some days he'll need the motivation!
