Welcome Brenda & kimmiesweetie!

Hi everyone!!! When will our Sailors know if they will be staying the weekend with their parents after graduation or will they be leaving the next day to A school. My son is going to San Antonio for school, but we have no idea if they are going straight over there or spending some time with us after graduation.  Thank you

Thank you ProudNavyMom!

Welcome Steelers. My son is also going to San Antonio for A School.  I'd also love to find out how much time we're going to have with him and what airport he will be flying out of.  Unfortunately, from all I've read so far on N4M's, we may not find out until they tell us at the PIR.

Wow not until we see him them on Dec 2nd?  Kind of not makes it fair. We are flying in and took some extra time off work to have as much time as possible and they "might" just fly out the next day.. I wish we really knew.  What is your Son going to San Antonio for. What career did he choose.

Steelers, this is exciting, I just realized you're in San Diego!  My son entered in San Diego too!  His Dad lives in San Diego and my husband and I are a little further north in the Los Angeles area.  My son is going to SA for Hospital Corpsman.

That is exciting!! Our Son is also going in for SA for Hospital Corpsman.!!

I was told that all SR's that are attending A school at places other than GL are flying out the next day after PIR.
Ladies - I received my confirmation from my order for the divisional t- shirts and I replied back asking if they could tell me what it looked like. I actually asked them to send me a pic of it. Ha ha. Here is the reply I got. It describes what the design is. This is what the 015 division flag will look like so we will know our groups of sailors when they march out for PIR!!

Unfortunately, I cannot send you a picture until after PIR.  The Navy doesn't like me to share.  It's a tradition for the flags to be unveiled on graduation day and not before.  I can describe it for you though:  orange-red octupus holding an anchor with a banner in the front with the 3 RDCs' names on it.  It's pretty cool.  Should look great on a shirt.
What is the link on Facebook for parents that have their sailors graduated on december 2. thank you
Checked my mail tonight when I got home and I have 2 envelopes from my son! One envelope had 2 letters and the other envelope had 4 of the questionnaires that I sent him filled out! Woo Hoo!! Tons of info today!

He says he is great! I can tell by the tone of his letters this week that he is doing good. I'm so happy! He says he's ready to get out of there and experience the real Navy! LOL As far as the food goes, he says he inhales and prays in under 11 minutes and that the food is delicious and he will miss it! LOL He said the peanut butter shot hurt his butt for 2 days!! ha ha     He says the highlight of his day is chow and taps. One of the questions on the survey is has it rained. His answer - I don't know, they never let me out! LOL
