For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I know that they take BAH directly out of your paycheck, but that still sounds a little on the low end. When we got married, my husband turned in paperwork to add me as a dependent, so he should have started getting dependents pay but he didn't. All he had to do was take his LES to the admin on his ship and not only did they correct it, but they gave us back pay for the months that were incorrect. Have your husband take his LES to admin and they should be able to see where the problem is and help him correct it.

The housing takes the whole amount for the first month rent out of one paycheck.
As was said he needs to check his LES to see what is going on.

There is no BAS with dependents...that money is for the SAILOR to eat only. If the Sailor is stationed on a ship or in school...he doesn't get the BAS (expect like $10, doesn't matter if they eat on the ship or not.)

Oh, he's getting BAS, there's simply no such thing as BAS for dependents.

How much does it say the BAS is? Also is it in the deductions part also? The USN gives them the BAS than takes it out..that is why is is in both boxes. If he is stationed on a ship, and getting BAS he needs to go to Admin ASAP to get it fixed...otherwise the USN WILL take it away all at once...which means he could go months with out a paycheck depending how much he was overpaid.

ok...no one gets that much BAS...it is $300 for enlisted people.
He isn't stationed on a ship or in school...he is on shore duty so yes he would get the BAS.
It isn't they don't help them out...it is there are certain rules for getting or not getting BAS and to switch to the other one isn't normally allowed.
