Unfortunately, that is what I heard... they have to go to A-School and then request leave!!! AUGGHHH !!!
Hi ladies, Im so excited to see my brother graduate Dec 16, does anyone know if they have to go straight to A school after bootcamp or if they will be able to come home for christmas
I received my letter today about Thanksgiving too. We will not be able to go either. :( It is just too far and too expensive. We will be there in Dec of course. I have found out some facts about after bootcamp and the holiday schedule.
As soon as they get through with PIR they will have to check into their A school before they will be released for leave for the holiday. A school will not start until Jan 3rd, they have to be back on the 2nd. They must get the leave approved from the A school and they cannot go "in the hole" more than 5 days on their leave. They should have around 5 days built up at the end of bootcamp, so that only gives about 10 days tops. The problem with this is, then they will have no leave for a long time, until they get it built up again.
I think we will spend the weekend with him in GL since his A school is there, then we will go home and he can come home and spend a few days for Christmas or something like that, I would rather him save some of his days to come see us later. Of course this is all up to him and when he wants to come home, but I kinda hope this is the way he decides to do it.
I sure do miss him....
AUGGH!! Wait!! drum4himom and Lucy-KennysMom - you all got your first letter already!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!??? CONGRATS!! I thought it would be at least another week! I must hurry home at lunch and see if the mailman has come! Thats so great that you got a letter already! So happy for you both! Cant wait till 12/16!!
Hey Jazzymom!! Glad you are all set!! Hope to see you soon! Is your SR getting your letters? I have had one letter and he hasn't gotten any letters from us... I have mailed them and then remailed them after the form letter!! So nervous about that part!! I can't imagine everyone getting letters and he isn't!
