Welcome Mom's in this Division, we may get a scheduled call from our SR's today. My SR told me in a letter last week it was going to be Tuesday Nov. 22  They have Battle Stations so it may happen late? Please post if you get a call. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

we should be on day 4-1 today right??  Anyone have any idea what they do this week?

Our son told us that Friday was 4-1. So today would have been 4-2. Have you seen the Navy DEP site that has what they do each day? It's really helpful.

Hi parents/spouses/gfs/bfs (whew!) -

Just wanted to update everyone with news from our division. I got a letter confirming when Battle Stations was - the 22nd. They are cramming 3 weeks of training into a week and a half and our class has it pretty tough because it's the 3 hardest weeks (firefighting, battlestations, tear gassed, 3 inspections, final PFA, etc. etc.). But then, after Thanksgiving, bootcamp is basically finished, the way it worked out. So they'll have that week to kind of take it easy and try not to screw anything up.

Although there were early reports of getting a ton of demerits and chits (far too many, I guess) - overall the division is doing really well. They've flagged (passed) all of their major tests/inspections - and carry around 6 flags when they march now. Not sure what that means, but it seemed to be really good news according to my SR. They all did really well on the live fire 9mm and shotgun test and many of them got a 5.0 (top score) on their compartment inspections. They must be learning how to fold clothes and make beds realllly well. One recruit - (from Texas, last name starts with an S - in case his mom/wife is on here) recieved an 'excellent' in live fire, which these RDCs have NEVER given before.

They think they're going to get a call even before battle stations. They were supposed to get it Tuesday (the 15th) but it was postponed. They don't know why. So keep your phones charged and your ears open!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this update!!  And many thanks to your husband, I don't know how he found time to write with their schedule, but I'm so glad he did, and so happy you shared.  Sounds like tough going right now, but I bet this will be a Thanksgiving they don't forget, it will be so well deserved.

I have been sitting by the phone all day. Thank you for the info. It goes along with the letter my SR wrote last week. I'm glad they did well on the tests. My SR told me that his group / div 07/012 is a smart group he refers toa ll as nerds. He said that is a good thing. Area they all need to work on is being a team. From what I have seen with smart kids is they trust themselves and their work and forget how to be a team. They do the work for others just to get it done. That's not going to fly in battle stations. Mom's give a shout out to all SR's to strive to work together. They are going to need each other to get through the next phase.

Congrats to the Texas Mom, great job to her son!

Sparky....  I read this a couple of hours ago and haven't stopped laughing yet.  My son is in the 07/012 you mentioned above and I have never thought of him as a nerd.  I know he is smart and always have been but just never heard him called that.  In fact his sister and I use to tease Lucas and say he played football so he could dumb himself down some.  I will say also that even though I was laughing I also was very proud to hear his group called nerds and very smart young men/women!

Our Texas boys are great young men!

Congrads to Texas mom. Nothing better than great news!

You are awesome!!!!!

Thank you ! Thank You !

In the letter we got yesterday, he said the division has flagged everything so far.  But he didn't say how many, or for what. Times like this I wish I could call him and say details boy, I need details!

Thanks for the details! My SR only writes to his gfs, so hearing specifics is so wonderful!
