For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello Everyone!!! Sorry I've been MIA...hubby had surgery and then we left town to attend other son's military graduation. (spec ops and it was AWESOME!!)
I've been writing my SR everyday. His letters are upbeat, but he's definitely ready for PIR! He's had phone calls for information, but he always calls his fiance. She spends every saturday and sunday with me, hoping for a phone call so he would be able to talk to both of us....I MISSED the call. I was at my other son's graduation and she was at my house when she got the call. :( Hoping he gets to call on Thanksgiving while he's on Adopt-A-Sailor leave. Hopefully I'm home...my daughter is due to give birth to her first baby that day as well....although, his fiance will most likely be with me if my daughter goes into labor, so that's a point in my favor!!
Glad to hear the Division is coming together. It seems that they "click" all at once and only get better from there!

I'm a VERY happy Mom today...TWO letters in the mailbox! I must say, my SR was never very good at letter writing and w/o a phone to communicate his writing skills have greatly impoved, another good thing about BC......And i must brag, on the firearms range he scored as an "expert". His petty officer had told the div only 6 of his recruits, in all of the divisions he has ever instructed, qualified as experts. So, I am a PROUD mamma.....HOORAH!

That's wonderful !!!! You have a lot to be proud of. Did he say how they were doing as a division. I am asking because I have only had one phone call about week 3.

The only mention of the DIV was they still had very few "privileges". Not sure about what that entails, he was not specific. He did say that the RDC's were not yelling as much, giving less instruction and letting them do/figure things out on their own. Don't feel too bad, we have only had the one, 6min call as well, looking forward to that special "I'm a Sailor" call next!

It is hard to believe that they are coming to closure with BC. But, this really is only the beginnng. They have so much more to go through for SPEOC. Hope I got that right. But on a positive note, all of us moms are getting through this too. Never thought it would go by like this. Only 13 more days! Less than two weeks. Bringing tissues to PIR. And I can't wait to meet all of you!

Hmm. I wonder if it would start in the morning and end that night..And if so if they would still get there "ima sailor call" that same day or if they would make them wait till the next morning
