Ladies...  I am going to come up and get my sailor and one other for Thanksgiving.  I was thinking I am going to wear my scarf so if anyone else is waiting they will know that I am a Navy Mom just like you.  Come say hello!

Did your SR send you the form needed to adopt a sailor or was that not necessary?  I am hoping my sister, who lives 10 minutes from Great Lakes, can take my SR home for the day.  I have requested that my son send me the form, but have not yet received it.  It's so frustrating not being able to talk to him to tell him what is needed.  I was just curious how the process worked for you.  Thanks.

Hi CareBear,  It maybe that he wanted to stay with the group of guys.  Hopefully you will get the paperwork tomorrow.

It was required. When we walked in, they took mine. Then they take a handful of them and call the recruits. Wonderful feeling when the SR comes around the corner!

I will be there too with my scarf. I will be at the Visitor Center at 8am.

Let's hope I get the form tomorrow.  Enjoy your thanksgiving with your SR.

CareBearWI - the form came out weeks ago and they are due back I think tomorrow. The SR's can not be picked up without the form. We have to take the form with us to the gate. I hope it works out for you.
