Nukemom!! Welcome! I have a SR in Ship 02 Div 905 and he is going to GC after bootcamp!! Would love to chat more with you as well!! Honor Guard from what I have found seems to mean more work for the poor kids! My SR said very little down time and lots of extra practice! He said there are lots of nukes too!! My SR said he is handling rifles? I have heard there are flag carriers, and body snatchers (so love that title!) in this group as well! If you go to the Recruit Training Command page on Facebook there are lots of pictures of other honor guards and I understand we might have a chance to see our SR in the 2 PIR's before ours on the website because they will participate in other PIR's before their own!!
Just got off the phone with my son !!! He is doing great !! I am so excited !!! :)
I got a call tonight too!!! He sounds Sooooooo much better!
I'm so happy it's all getting better now!
I got a call too!! What an amazing change in his outlook and stuff now!! Best thanksgiving gift!! Sounds like he is making friends too!! Is there anyone here whose SR is going on to Charleston???
You know, I saw that too and I can't find it!! I think we should do that!! I can't remember if your SR left in October you wore red or something!! Is there a veteran mom in this group that can maybe answer this about wearing a certain colored scarf??
Good morning Div. 905 family!! I am so excited!! UNDER 3 weeks!! Yes, we need a way to stand out! I like the scarf idea, its easy and sounds like a scarf is a must up there! ( I live in Florida, I have to buy a coat for this!!) What about a yellow scarf or something? Based on the pictures on the RTC website, the 900 divisions all wear the yellow scarf around their necks or the yellow "tassle" on their shoulder.. maybe we could do the same? Anyone have any thoughts on this!!
Hi Everyone!! THere is a YOUTUBE video of all the kids from this div. that got adopted by the American Legion! It shows lots of our SR's!! It was so great to see them, and they all looked good!!
10 DAYS !!!! 10 DAYS !!!!! I AM SO EXCITED !!!!! a yellow scarf is fine with me.... anyone else have an opinion ?
10 DAYS !!!!!!!
