Looking for others who have a loved one that will be attending A School in San Antonio.  My son is to PIR on 12/2/11 and then, head to SA.  I love that he will be back in Texas and just 4 hours away from me.  Well, at least for 14 weeks....

Hi Cubmom, looks like our sons will be in the same group heading to SA after PIR on 12/2.  You're so lucky to be just 4 hours away.  We're in California so it will be more like a 4 hour plane ride away.

I understand! I just arrived back in Texas....its been a long trip. There is a sight I started for us on navy for moms. Will work on Facebook sight in the am....have u talked to your sin since he arrived in Texas...

Cubmom, I have not talked to my son yet.  His Dad was supposed to take him his cell phone but he took the mp3 player by mistake.  We did go to Midway to see him but didn't stay to the end.  He wanted to hang out with his friends and I was falling asleep on my feet.  I'm really curious to find out who his room mate is.  I sent him an email today and hope he has someway to log on.  I promised him I would sign on to facebook this weekend so we can communicate faster. I'll also be able to talked to all the N4M's on facebook too.

What is your sons name? I will see if my son can find him and let him use my sons phone to call u. If its cell to cell no charge.

Last name is Serrano. We have Verizon.  He still had minutes on the phone card but I didn't specifically tell him to call me when he arrived. Somethings never change LOL

I will get on the horn!!!!
Done deal....talked to.my son and he's going to go find him and have him call....good luck!!! Told him to call your cell....charge it up girl!!!!

You're great! Thank you and your son so much!

Hi Cubmom,  my son will be heading there also, for A & C school, so he will be there at least 20 weeks.  We are already planning a road trip down to see him at some point, and thankfully he will be about an hour away from one of my husband's sisters...

Ana4jas-----Thakns for the reply.  I would like to go to California one day.  I guess, with my son being in the Navy maybe, I will get to go one day.  I feel like my son is so far away today.  It's rainy looking here and I have the fireplace going.  Setting here today just thinking about the next few days.  Ready to get a call tomorrow...THE CALL!!!  What division is your son in?  Maybe our young men know each other.  Are you going to the M&G?

Hi, Cubmom, My son will be heading to SA after PIR on 12/2.  We live in Oklahoma and will be 6 hours from him. We are very glad to have the opportunity to be that close and opportunity to have quick visits.  Any idea when they will be leaving Chicago after the PIR?

Sarah Ship 7----Congrats!!!  That will be nice that you have family close by.  Good luck with everything.  It's a very exciting time for both our kids and our families.  I am very ready for my child to be closer even if it doesn't last long...

ProudMom7---I was born in Oklahoma.....O long, long, long time ago.....  I haven't hear anything.   I am hoping when he calls with the I'm a Sailor call he can tell me something.  I am hoping he doesn't leave till Sunday.  But, from the way everyone talks on the site.  It will be on Saturday early that morning.  But, a mom can hope.  I would like to have more time with him.....If you hear anything please, let me know.  If I hear anythiung I will let you know.  Are you guys going to the  M&G.  When do you fly out?  Where are you staying?
