Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

That sounds awesome !!!!! My SR did not give me all that info on Thanksgiving. GO Ship 11 Div 017

 

my husband and i went to great lakes for thanksgiving and spent a beautiful day with our daughter and her friend jennie.  they had a great day of phone calls home to friends and family, went to the movies and had a great dinner before going back that night.we also took two lap tops and they didnt even have their coats off before those were turned on and hooked up to facebook. it was v ery hard saying good bye to her again....but i can tell you i have never been more proud of my baby girl.....she was showing me how to fold my clothes and told me she irons everything now...showed me some of her exercises, talked about all there doing....both girls were full of stories....sooooo much fun!  we are now coounting the days till we go to graduation....reservations are made and im ready to go back....got a unexpected phone call from her last night....that made my night....earned it i guess so was quite a surprise...said they are very busy right now and time is going fast....see ya all dec 16th cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son has been sending us letters ! Their group is doing awesome! Hell week was over as of Dec.3. He sounds very up beet,counting the days til grad. Prayers for them think battle station 21 is Dec.14. GO SHIP 11 DIV 017.

Amy ~ Where did you get BS was 14 Dec? This is getting confusing, I read it may have been last night and today and the phone calls for 017/018 may be this afternoon! I'm hoping what I heard was true, I would hate to think I have to suffer the not knowing until next week :-(.........  1 Week from today! yippppeeeeee

My son told me at Thanksgiving ,that was the date they were sch.if all went well.So I just pray every nite.As we know now things can change at any time. GO SHIP 11 DIV 017 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hell week is all testing,drills,inspections,they have to be at their best. My son told me in his letter and all was going awesome! I am also going crazy,thought to we would have another phone call. Just want to hear his voice. Having trouble sleeping,feel like a kid again can't wait til FRIDAY.

Fishmom ~ I'm with you on I think now is worse than the beginning.  I expected no letters and calls for a while, but now it is really nerve racking! I pray they complete BS soon and we get a call.  I am hoping to see posts of phone calls being received. Today would be nice, really nice, really really nice :-)! Its like waiting for Christmas and can't open the gift until "THAT DAY"! Wow how did I make it as a child...much less today :-)! Everyone have a blessed day.
