Hi fellow Ship 04, Div. 19 Moms.  I thought we could start this "discussion" group since we all have something in common and go back to the main PIR 12/16/2011 group whenever we have questions for all of the veteran moms who have been so helpful.  We're in this together!

Hi y'all. We are leaving as soon as DD is out of school this afternoon, laying over in St. Louis, MO which is halfway from OKC, then heading in the rest of the way tommorrow - should be in Waukegan around 2. Can't wait to meet y'all at the M&G!!

If you hear anything else about  not leaving for Pensacola A School till 12/20 could you let me know? I wouldn't be able to stay that long at GL.

I just spoke with my SAILOR!!! 13 minutes was a great call! He's all excited!! I'm on the road on my way to GL.

:-)  Congrats!!

We have a Sailor too!  Yippeeee!!! :-)   He stated that he liked this new division a lot better than the one he was in previously.

still no word ... :(

I am sure it will come soon :)  Don't worry, there was a very long line/wait to use the phones and I couldn't even talk to him but a few minutes....IT will come...HUGS

POST when it does!

My Sailor said he couldn't get his orders and plane ticket for Pensacola because of medical. Wonder what's up with that? He completed BS.

My son had to get a paper signed too, he just happen to get it done right before he called...if not he would of had to tell me the same thing ... I am sure it is a clerical issue :) Dont worry to much!

He is a SAILOR! Congrats!

Congrats, everyone!  Our new sailor called while I was substituting at a school today!!!  :(  However, he did get a hold of my husband and chatted with him for a minutes.  They are totally sleep deprived as you all already know.  I was sick that I wasn't there to receive his call, but my hubbie told me that he's going to call back again tonight, so I'm very excited about that.  We're flying out tomorrow morning from Houston and hope to make the Sarge's meet and greet--we'll play it by ear.  Yea!!! They did it!!   Lori

FINALLY GOT THE CALL - he's a Sailor!  And, since he needed to go and talked to somebody to give more info for his security clearance he got more chance to talk.  As far as the Pensacola thing goes, he says he's flying out 12/17 - got his ticket - so that problem has been averted as well!  YIPPEE!!!  BTW does anybody know if I take a shuttle from the hotel if he can come back on the shuttle (his leave starts right after graduation).

We are in Waukegan.  The hotel let us check in at 9am.  We have been driving since 2pm on Wednesday.  Talk about exhaustion.  I'm super excited to see my son after all this time.  I also get to meet his gf for the first time.  She's driving up from Indiana.  BIG WEEKEND for all of us!!!!

OK, I have homeword due, so I have to stop cheering for now.
