Yep. That would be us

Nice to meet you Denise! The N4M site has been a great source of information.  Nice to have an idea of what is going on!

that would be me too! looking forward to graduation on Feb 3rd..are u driving or flying? i'm waiting on the weather for now..got the box but no form letter..I'm getting kind of discouraged with no calls or letters...we sent him a,couple so far tho..
Hi NM74...We will be flying into Chicago as we are coming from Louisiana. I don't think they have had time for letters yet and I think the first phone calls come at the 3rd week. Hang in there we are going to make it. Where are you coming from? Will you be flying?

We're in Texas. My husband and SR's older brother will be coming up. Flying. I have a younger daughter and will need to stay here as she has an important sports event that cannot be skipped.  Our SR was aware that there were two weekends in February I wouldn't be able to come and wouldn't you know it?!  I am sick about it actually as I truly want to be there.

Haven't made the reservations yet but looking into it as well as hotels etc.

Navymom74, What a bummer you haven't received anything yet. How frustrating. I feel for you. It will come!  I just keep writing and that helps to keep me closer!

Hi my son is also in the ship and division. We have received his box and his form letter. He wrote us a small note on the back of the letter. Can't wait for our first call.

Hi! My son is also on Ship 07 Division 060.  His father received the box but no form letter yet.  I did hear from m y SR on saturday for about 30 seconds and I received a call early this morning from the dental office.  I believe he may be having some wisdom teeth pulled.

We will be flying in from California but haven't made reservations just yet, waiting for the official letter first.

I received a phone call from my son on Christmas Eve. I was so great to hear his voice! I miss him so much. He sounded so good! He said he has been very busy! He also has been assigned the job of Chief Petty Officer of Laundry. Yuck, but I guess it show's Leadership skills. He also said to keep the cards  and pictures coming.

I am hoping most of us Ship 07, Div 060 families have heard from our SR's.
We received a call last week (our SR was allowed this call for a good inspection!)
Heard from Him Christmas day as well. He sounded great. He too had been
Assigned a Recruit Petty Officer position.
We received a very long letter from him. I seriously didn't know he was capable
Of such a newsy letter! Guess we have never had occaision to write like we do now.
It's very comforting to hear from him and it sounds like everything with these SR's is going
Well.
Our SR's are at 2-4 (week 2 day 4) as of today. There are several threads which explain the boot camp
Timing for training. Weekends don't count, and the weeks don't necessarily follow the
M-F we are used too. Week 3 starts Wednesday. You can follow what they can expect

I believe it's pretty accurate on timing.

Gayle you received quite a bit of info. lol tell your son to keep filling you in on the details so you can fill us in. lol

My step son is also in Ship 7, Division 60. We are slowly learning our way through the Navy ropes! We received the "official letter", one written letter, and a phone call on Christmas Eve.  He sounds like he is doing great. We are coming from northern California to attend the graduation on the 3rd.  Starting to research flights and hotels. If anyone has advice I am all ears!

Denise I found flights for $198, a rental car for a little less than $100 for 3 days and a room for $50 a night that is supposed to be very close to the training facility.  We are also coming from northern california.  I've been looking for fun things to do when I get there and then after graduation with my son and his dad.  It would be nice if there was some sort of guide.
