Did you get to see the Pic of Div 56 & 55 on FB RTC page. It was wonderful. Just loved it. Best Christmas gift ever.
I saw my son too with a big smile. Thanks for the heads up it was the Best Christmas present everyone was here and got to see him. He was easy to pick out I'm glad they didn't have their hats on so you could see their faces.
I was wishing for a call but the picture was awesome. Merry Christmas!
Hello, I have a SR son in this div and ship. My husband and I saw the picture on facebook, our son looks very happy. Smiling from ear to ear. The was one of the best Christmas present ever.
I will agree with you there. And I wrote to RTC Sue from PA went out and took the pic. And I thank her very much. See said that she was getting negative feed back all day. She was begin to think was this worth it. So please post a good remark out there for any future SR.
I posted a Thank you too on FB.
So how did she get the pictures to post? Did she go to base and take them?
It was fun to see the adopt a sailor pictures too from McHenry we used to live there and always saw the Sailors around town on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
My SR called home today and I was at work. It's the only number he knows:( He left a recording so I saved it to play for everyone. I felt so bad he didn't get to speak with us. He sounded great and answered some questions I had. First I was sad when I didn't get a letter but cheered up when I heard his voice. He said he did write some more letters so maybe tomorrow.
Just a heads up incase you get a call too.
Our SR son called this afternoon. My husband was home and talked with him. I was still at work. My husband said he sounded good. He was in a hurry because he wanted to call his girlfriend as well. I spoke with her and she also rec a call from him. Looking forward to a letter this week.
i received 4 letters today. My son sound good. Does not like the RDC. Thinks he has lost weight. Having computer problems and my cat just does not want me to talk to anyone only him. Will get back later. But my son sound funny.
My son said he like his div. They work as a team. And they give each other support. Said they had some good ideas for there flag but have not started on it yet. Don't know when it has to be done. My son said the hardest part is he does not get enough sleep. Other than that he sounded good and happy and I could see that in the pic. Hope everybody has a safe and Happy New year. And I will see you all after the new year. Love and take care.
We got a letter today. My son said he is enjoying the photos I have been sending. He stated he was writing the letter on Christmas day but it did not feel much like Christmas. I'm just glad that he does not seem homesick. He sounds like he is making lots of new friends and eating really well. I hope he is eating well because he was a very fussy eater at home. He said they even get cookies. Happy New Year Everyone.
