For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Procedure for little ones at graduation
My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I are planning to be at graduation. Our concern is for our little granddaughter. Does she need to be added to the name list - which makes 5 on the list instead of the 4. I understand we will need to have her birth certificate. Does our recruit need to add her to the list by name or is it automatic on the list since she will be 22 mths old at graduation....Need to know what to do.....

proud mom - No she does not have to be added to the access list. 12 and under do not count towards the four and do not have to be on the list.

Thank you for the info - my son-in-law was going to stay home so that my daughter (his wife) and their little one could go to the graduation. Is it correct though that we need to have her birth certificate?

The birth certificate is usually for children under age 16, but older than 12, who don't have a state ID or drivers' license yet. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have one for the little one, though. The strictness of the policy seems to depend only on who happens to be on duty that day. When I went, they didn't even ask me my name. They just asked me to check myself off of their list.

No, my understanding is noone under the age of 12 has to be on the list.

This is the link to the Family Guide (clickable link) put out by RTC. I cannot get the paragraph to copy and paste. Click the link and scroll down to page 6. Left hand side, fifth paragraph down under "Accessing Base" for info regarding children under 12 and ID needed. The Family Guide is also just a good read for general info!
This is from the RTC website FAQ:
Q.How many guests per recruit are allowed to attend Pass-In-Review?A.Four seats are guaranteed per recruit; however, children 12 years old and younger do not count against the four-guest maximum. The graduating recruit is responsible for identifying those individuals to be placed on the access list. Please coordinate with your recruit via letters regarding who will be on the access list. No additions, deletions or changes will be made to the access list the week of graduation. The four guests on the access list will be admitted into the ceremonial drill hall first. Additional guests not on the access list will have to wait inside the Visitor Center until after the start of the ceremony at which time they will be allowed into the ceremonial hall if additional seating is available as space permits. No additional seating can be guaranteed. PLEASE DO NOT CALL FOR ADDITIONAL SEATS. All visitors must have valid photo identification. This requirement includes children (school ID, Social Security card or copy of birth certificate). Please be aware that security may deny base admission to guests NOT on the access list if they are not accompanied by a guest who is on the access list.
