Hey! My question/issue is this:

I'd like to meet as many of you as humanly possible over the 2-3 days we'll be at PIR. I'm traveling up Wednesday evening, and will all Thursday free (I'll probably go into Chicago, do shopping, Im not sure yet). I want to know which meet and greet everyone is planning to go to? I don't want to show up at one and there not be anyone there lol Anyways, once you all decide please post here! Thanks! <3

Hi Trisha! I am not making any definitley plans for any of the meet and greets.  We are driving from Arizona so not sure exactly when we will arrive, I guess will just have to wait and see how the weather treats us!!  But I will have internet on my phone and  will check in once we get into our Hotel and see what kind of time we have to do anything.  Do we have to pre register for the meet and greets? We are staying in Gurnee.

Yeah, I'll have my cell with me too. I'm driving up from KY, so its only an 9 hour trip for me. Good luck on your drive! I'm pretty worried about the weather too, but I have faith it will work out. :)

Yes, me too!!  Relying on faith now more than ever these last few weeks :)  Good luck to you as well!!

I am going to sarge @ sundance saloon :-)I I will be driving from Michigan (6hr drive) early Thursday. I can't wait to meet everyone ...I do feel sorry for you southern bells and this northern weather ...lol dress in layers you will

haha. Well I enjoy the cold, I just hate driving out in it. Ive thought about renting an SUV lol - my husband would probably make fun of me if I did.

Trish When you get closer to chicago the roads will be clear even if there is snow it is a big city they do a great job at keeping the roads clear.. We northerners are use to the snow and prepare ahead of time for the snow.. Try not to worry about the snow just concentrate and dressing warm for the cold... I am use to the snow and I am praying that we don't get a lot of it!!! Just Easier for everyone traveling if it is clear like now.. I will give you my cell phone number and we can stay in touch

Sounds great!! :) Just message me! <3

I RSVP'd to Sarge's ...might check the other one out as well.

I am going to Sages meet and greet. As they will have information on what you can do if your sailor leave saturday for goes to A school in Great Lakes.  There is also a restaurant that will give sailors a free dinner/lunch.  There a speakers from the base.  The other one is just a meet and greet and get together.  This one is giving a little more information to help any one that is lost as to what to do.  Hope this helps.  I friend went to this one in Nov to her son PIR and love it.  Gave her a lot of ideas and helpful hints.  Proud mother of Ship 03 Div 055

Thanks Jean. :) I appreciate the info.
