I heard from my sr as well.  He sounded really good and same thing with the letters :)

My SR son called home yesterday and I missed the call I was at work.  He left a nice message and he sounded good.  I now mailed him a laminated copy of all our phone numbers.  He said more letters are on the way maybe today.

How is everyone?  Happy New Year!  Is everyone going to PIR 2/3?  We certainly hope to make it from Florida!  Hope you are all getting letters from you Sailor and at least one phone call!  Did you all see the wonderful picture on FB of our Div 056???  Let's get some discussions going - I would love to hear about your Sailors!  My son says he is doing good and they are working very hard together!

Happy New Year!  We have received one phone call  and 2 letters from our son.  He seems to like and said he has passed all his test.  Yes, we are going PIR.  At first we thought we would fly but after awhile we decided to drive.  Hopefully the weather will stay calm and dry.  The only reason we decided to drive is because of A School and not knowing when he will leave.  But I am very anxious to seem my sailor and counting down the days.

Happy new year everyone! I have gotten two letters and one phone call as well, and he has passed all his tests too :).  I'm flying Southwest on Thursday and coming back saturday night.  Staying at Residence Inn.  We're getting so close!

We have to fly and don't know when he leaves for A school which makes it difficult to book return flight and some say things can change at the last minute. Anyone know the color of scarf we wear for Div 056? I think the sailors are designing their div flag! Hope we all receive another call and letter soon! We are praying for calm dry weather too! Anyone planning to attend meet and greets???
Let's pick our PIR scarf color????

Picking a scarf colors sounds great to me.  I seen that on facebook and wonder if our ship/div would be doing that?  I hadn't planned on the meet and greet but that would be fun to meet the other SR parents.

Anyone going to meet and great, we might choose Sarge's!

Hi everyone yes I am going to the meet and greet, and I have put ship 3 div 56 & 55 because they are bother div for scarfs color orange.  I put the order in for fleece in orange.  If any one is interested in have one let me know.  I will try to put our div and ship on them.  We will look so cool at PIR.  I am going to make them out of fleece. I did not get any mail today.  But there is always tomorrow.

Thanks jean - orange scarfs sound great! How do we get them from u - I would like 4. I hope to meet all of u at Sarge's meet and greet. We got mail today I thinks they will continue to have to work very hard. 29 days - I know our sailors are counting down too.

yes AkeylimeMom I am making them for our two div.  It will give something to do. If everything goes right I will be at the Meet and Greet Thursday.  My son cat is telling me its time for bed.  Hope to here from you all soon.
