No mail for me today either ... hoping for tomorrow..

Hey everyone! when you receive your letters note they have an updated address.

It's Ship 03 USS HOPPER Div 071

Please use this new version from now on, it will help your letter get there faster & easier. Don't worry about whats already been sent, it will still get to them.

I included an envelope & stamp with the letter. It was front & back with stuff down the side as well. I asked stuff like....what was the worst thing a RCD has said or yelled at him. Who he's met that he likes or is important to him. What he likes most about classroom or physical stuff. I worded it like.....the thing I like most about blah is___________ for breakfast I eat_________________I miss_____________the most. I enjoy____________ he really spent a lot of time answering everything and provided details.

I got 3 envelopes filled with letters today =) He had been keeping a journal of their every day events and sent me the pages he had written about. He gets to be one of the ones in front carrying a flag ( I kind of had a feeling because of his height ) I was so excited to finally hear from him after 26 days! (besides the form letter) Hope everyone else got their letters today! Its quite a relief that's for sure.

that is awesome!!!!! so you probably have more information than the rest of us :-)

My daughter said she tried out for "sticks" also (that is holding the flag at graduation) because she is pretty good at marching, and they told her she will probably hold a flag or be a back up. That would be really cool, and we would be able to see them easier too :-)

Today I received another letter, this was the one I was expecting to get that tells me she is getting one of her wisdom teeth pulled! She said they all got into trouble for talking so they had to put nose and toes to the wall for an hour! I was told by her friend that just graduated, by week 4 they mello out on them from the hard core stuff. C'mon week 4!!!!!

I'm so excited I have a letter waiting at home, I think it's a good enough reason to leave work a little early on a Friday! Hope all of you that haven't already gotten your letters get them today!

Got my letter today.  So glad that everyone is now getting letters

Everyones gotten letters? My son mailed about 8 to his fiance as well. Shes happy. Now am i greedy if im wishing for a call now.?

I'm thinking there is a call in store for the 12th just to give you a heads up, I COULD BE WRONG THOUGH. That's just what I'm estimating because on the other forums 1 week after they received their first letters, they received their first phone call. Fingers Crossed, I sure hope so! =)

Hi Everyone.....so good to find this group!  I received 4 letters on Friday from my son, we are from CT.  It was such a great day to finally hear from him.  He said he has made a few friends and was counting down the days to graduation too!  He said the food was good, but I did not get all the detail you all did.  Thanks for sharing!

Welcome Tracy 03-071, Isn't this forum the greatest! It has made my time away fro my husband so much easier,. so many unanswered questions get answered here. For example I was so scared I was the only one with no letters. No were all in the same boat (except I'm missing my husband, and everyone is missing their son/daughter so I'm kind of the odd ball) None the less it's an amazing thing. I Hope you found the Facebook page, with out divisions picture (where your son should be in also). Melted your heart didn't it?? I know I blatted! I will also let you know tomorrow at 1 (eastern time) On the Facebook they will post a Trivia question, if one of us answers it right, they will post a new picture of our division! How exciting! YOU HAVE TO BE FAST, like, lightning fast because you will be so surprised how many reply's in the matter of seconds. Even if you don't know the answer THROW a number out there, any one and hit enter. It's worth a shot =)

In my husbands letters,. He reminded me of our 5 year anniversary... and told me I probably forgot again this year. LOL My memory is terrible. Sorry dear,. but you'll be surprised to see that I did in fact remember this year. O=)

happy anniversary Mrs Reynolds! mine is on Valentine's day (that way neither of us could ever forget it!) ha

Great advice to just throw any number out there! I've been writing notes from the site hoping they ask something I've written down for the trivia today.

Good luck everyone! lets get that picture!!!!!
