Received my form letter yesterday (Dec. 17). He says everything is going well and he already see the changes in himself. So proud but sure do miss him!
Anyone else?

Me too.. The count down is starting to get easier for me.. I remember crying when I first saw the count down on this site at around 53 days!.. But now I look at it and it is starting to make me happy instead of sad.. knowing soon I will get to hold my husband again!
Yes, same here. I told myself, I can do with 34 days, it'll be here soon enough! His letters are also sounding better everyday. I am so happy and so proud of him. Lol, he even sent money home and told my other son (his little brother) to take "mom" out for a nice dinner on him. My oh my, I cried like a little baby (happy cry, of course) He has grown up!
Aww, that is so thoughtful and sweet of him. I bet you must be proud. :) That is really awesome of him to think of doing that, Malia.
No call yet from my son :(
I bought a calling card today and will put it in the mail tomorrow.
I did receive a letter today and he says that his Petty Officer keeps telling them that our parents won't believe that we are their children! He says "I already know you will be asking me who are you and what did you do with my son?"
My husband is a dork, he sends "kisses" on the letters. He circles a spot and writes kiss by each one. Too adorable!
That is too cute!
Darcie, that letter gave you warm and happy feeling all over, didn't it. Great feeling!!! Don't you wish the clock would move a little faster?
Oh, Sharon... Hang in there, I am sure you will hear from him soon. And yes, his Petty Officer is right. My son has grown up so much. I could hardly believe half of what he said both in his letters home and recently over the phone conversation. I am missing the boy I sent to Boot Camp a month ago, terribly. However, I am looking forward to meeting the new and all grown up man he is becoming.
I am going to have a very busy month traveling for work so I know that the 10th will be here before I know it. Just want one phone call...
sharon, i haven't gotten any phone call either. but you're right, the 10th will be here before we know it!!
My husband said he has till the 13th to be with me! Do you think this is right? I know most say they should be leaving on the 11th? Or so that is how it usually goes the night after? Or does that just mean he is not grad-and-go and I should change my flight plans? I do not know what to do!!
