Just a gold scarf - but if you want to add some blue you can. :)

I could find a Gold on so I got blue and going to add gold on it :)

My son is from Texas.  I got a letter today stating he is sick, fever, cough, chills, muscle & joint pain.  It is horrible feeling so helpless, not being there to help him...nurse him.  Of course, the letter is post dated Jan 3, it was probably written on the 1st, it is now the 7th...please God let him be healthy now!

oh wow. :( I hope he feels better. Its rough being sick. When my husband called 2 weeks ago he said they were all kinda sick, I mean, coughing and stuff. But not fevering or anything. I'll say a prayer for your son.

See you soon! <3

Thanks everyone for your words of comfort...I GOT A CALL...He is recovering, still has a cough, but got a perfect score on his inspections and earned phone time.  He says they are in week 4.2 aka Hell week.  PIR has not changed...still 2/3/12!!!  Yeah...I can't wait to see him.  I got to ask him about the money situation...you were right...he opened a Navy Federal acct. and most of his income is going to uniforms. He sounds really good...we did not cry this time...it's getting a little easier.  Thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences with us...it really helps to know we are not alone!  God Bless You All!

Glad to hear he is doing better. :) :) Yay for calls!!

I'm still waiting for one, maybe next week or even later tonight. Who knows. :)

Hey all! I wanted to see how things were going with everyone? I hope you were all able to find a gold scarf! If not I've been told Target has some for 14.99 :)

<3 See you all soon!!! :) 23 days! <3

Hello everyone:  This is my first post.  I was wondering did anyone get their "packet" of information yet for graduation?  I did not and was wondering if anyone else got theirs yet.

I got mine about a week after he left for RTC. Have you gotten a call from your SR? or any letters?

You may need to send him a letter.

I received a pamplet and a paper stating what date he was graduating.  Is that what you received?  I was thinking we would get a lot more information, such as a parking pass, instructions on where we are to go etc.  Did you receive anything like that?

Yes we have received one phone call around week 3.  Also  a letter every week, we think that we are to get another call this Friday, I may see what he knows.

yeah, Im supposed to get a call friday too. Some people got calls last friday.

Yes, that is what I got.
As for the parking pass you go on the bootcamp website and print it off a few days before PIR.
Also on that webpage will have info about graduation.

http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/   thats the link you should look at. :)

If you go to this groups main page, you will see a link that says "more discussions" or something like that, there are posts about stuff too - try to read through that. :)

Thank you so much for the info.  Hope you hear from your sailor on Friday.  We cannot wait to hear from our son.  It seems so long since we have heard from him.  It will be wonderful just to hear his voice.
