Sarge's Meet & Greet is at the Sundance. The whole Saloon will be Navy families only :D
Phone calls this weekend would be AWESOME!!! Unfortunately, we traveled from New York to California today, because my husband's mom passed away yesterday morning. I'm hoping if a call from my son comes, it will be at a time I can take it.
We originally made reservations at The Ramada, but since have changed to the Marriott Springhill Suites. We will be going to Sarge's meet & greet as well.
Hope phone calls are abundant to our division parents this weekend!
Patrick's Mom: I am sorry about you and your husbands loss. I hope that we get calls today and if so that you are able to get one at a time that you can answer, look for 847 on your phone.
I am staying at the Marriott Springhill Suites and also going to Sarge's meet and greet. I can't wait to meet your family.
Sadly, I did not. I had my phone with me all day -- while attending a course and even while in church. It was my intention that if the phone rang and it was my son, that I would walk out no matter what!
Maybe tomorrow division 47 will get calls.
Thanks so much Navy Mom. I'm looking so forward to meeting you too! I wonder if our boys are friends? Patrick told me in his last letter that the guys in his division are pretty close. That was really nice to hear. We're staying at a Courtyard Marriott here in California that is very nice. Hoping Springhill Suites is equally as nice.
My husband had his phone with him all day, no matter where we were or what we were doing...even still I must have asked him a half dozen times - you've got your phone, right? Alas though, no call here either. = ( We'll just hope and pray tomorrow will be our day.
Question: I've seen a couple of times where 1/20 is referred to as our Divisions Battlestation's date. Does anyone know if this is for CERTAIN? I thought it was usually on a Thursday, and that day I believe is a Friday.
Thanks!
Just a heads up for those who ordered ribbons and scarves or anything else from me. Some of those orders have already been shipped. I am working on the remainder of those orders over the next day or so and they will be shipping and one their way as I get them done. Be looking for those in the mail from the middle to the end of this week. Let me know if you have any questions. I don't always check the discussion pages so send me a message or friend request and I will get back to you ASAP. Thanks again for the orders. Lora (aka Lala)
Lora, I plan to place an order for ribbons with you probably early - mid week. I'm away from home right now and need to talk to my ex-husband first. Do you suggest any particular color for Ship 3 Division 47? I know I read somewhere you do some in black/gold. That sounds very sharp, and currently is what I'm thinking. Do most people use their SR's first or last names on the ribbons?
Most people get the Navy colored ribbons with either gold or silver accents and letters. The Black ribbons are usually used by those who are special op's or the 800 divisions. About half the people use the first name and half use the last name it is totally up to you. If one name is really long you may want to go with the shorter name. You can see lots of pics of the ribbons, decals, scarves and everything else I make on my face book page Unique Memory Makers. If you can't find that then put my email address in the facebook search bar: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com Feel free to send me an email or a message here on N4M's for more info. Thanks so much.
