I've gotten letters three days in a row. My husband said that they start battle stations next week so hopefully we get a call before and after that! I am SO ready to talk to him and hear his voice. It's been over 20 days since we have talked to them last ):

In 17 days and twenty something hours I will be crying and hugging my husband, my best friend, and a brand new Sailor of the US Navy.  Life is good!

Does 12/50 have a scarf color? I want to be prepared. Face booor friend me me please, I not only want to support my SR but all SR's. Thanks in advance!
When is there battle station? Captains cup?

Captains Cup will be on the Saturday before PIR, so on the 21st of January.  I'm thinking they have a good shot of winning...They've been winning everything else!

I think you've been on the RTC facebook page asking about BS-21, so you know we're not allowed to really talk about it on here.

I think I remember reading something about the scarf color, folks were saying it's a pick with the Division's family and friends?  Red, White, or Blue is what people usually go with.  If that's the case, then shouldn't we all do blue?  I could be 100% wrong right now, so if anyone knows any different...Please let me know so I don't sound like a complete moron.  lol.

I'm not sure how they do the color but I know the guys pick it for the scarves and it's nothing like "offical" it's just something fun for everyone to do. Plus we will be sitting right in front of the 12/050 sign so I'm sure they will see us (:

There's seating for each Division in the bleachers??!!!  Wait?!  Why did I not know this?!!  I thought they seated family and friends as they arrived.  You seriously just made my day!  So, our SR's pick the color for the scarves?  Ok.  I just asked him what they were about, but I sent that letter on Saturday so I'm not expecting a reply till next week.  Argh!  This time delay is just awful!

Hey Good Afternoon Soon To Be Sailor families...does anyone know exactly what week/ day our SR's are on - I got a little confused around the holidays and my son's letters were a little jumbled on dates.  I know their Fridays were day 1 for the most part...but that might have changed - or can it change?  My last letters mentioned that alot of them had pink eye.  I'm hoping that this week's letter finds everyone more healthy and rested!   Is this week 6 day 4?

My daughter is in a different division, but she did mention her group had pink eye.  She said she had it in both eyes when she had her pictures taken :(

She also said her group got ANOTHER PB Shot!  She said a lot had strep.

Hey Everyone!!!!

I just wanted to give ya'll a heads up that I spoke with Lora from Unique Memory Makers and it's not too late to place an order for your ribbons!  Hopefully we can all have them for PIR 01/27/12...in 13 more days!!  If you want to shoot her an email send me a message and I'll give it to you cause I have no idea if that's allowed to put in this thread.

Yippie!  Let's all keep our fingers crossed that Mother Nature cooperates with us in our trek to Great Lakes.

I just can't wait!

I received three letters yesterday....It was better than Christmas.  Said the division has won all the flags it can. Talked about their final PFA and PI inspections. Talked about the firefighting class and actual training. Talked about when they would be doing the Gas Chamber and then Battlestations......He received his last four shots, wasn't thrilled bout that. Definitely counting down til Graduation..  I got my ribbons ordered today....Thank Lola:)   I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday. Talk to you soon...

Can someone private message me with our Division's Battlestation date.

I just realized that with Monday being a holiday I won't get mail until the week-end. We live way out in the woods. LOL

Please and thanks!
