Hope you all get letter this week too.

Hi! My daughter is in ship 3 div 55 too! Getting excited for 2/3/12 to get here!

Somewhere I read something about wearing orange scarves to the PIR so our SR's can find us. . . Anymore info?

And like Navy Mom, my son is in the Marine Corps too!

Hi jtacaj

Sorry I missed your instant message.  So you went thru Marine boot first too. I know it would be a lot different if it was my daughter and not my son.  Our daughter has no desire to sign up. Our Marine is in CA wating for his school to start and he was just switched over to the field he wanted so he's happy about that. What is your Marine doing?

Yes 055 and 056 are orange scaves.  There are a few gals making them for sale or you can make your own.

My son has been in the Corps for almost 3 yrs. He is in CA now too. He just got back from Afghanistan in November. He did make it home just in time to see his sister before she left for bootcamp. My husband was in the Marine Corps for 12 yrs. Both kids were born at Camp Lejuene, NC. So we knew what to expect. My Dad was in the Navy and went to bootcamp at Great Lakes Too! The last time I talked to Carrie, she said she was having a blast! She was expecting bootcamp to be as hard as Marine bootcamp haha.

I'll make the scarves for me and my 11 yr old, we are the only ones able to make the trip.

Its a small world, Carrie's bunkmate is from Louisville, KY, thats where I grew up. And her house is 3 streets over from the street my Mom still lives on! So if anyone is from Valley Station area, contact me!

To   jtacaj

My marine son is at 29 Palms CA where is yours?  What job is he?

My son is at Camp Pendleton now. When he went to Afghanistan, he left from 29 Palms. His job is a deisel generator mechanic. What does your son do?

We went to 29 Palms to see him off. My husband said it had grown since he was there! Still small with not much to do.

Hope you all get calls too!

We got a call from our daughter today too! We were eating lunch when she called so I put her on speaker phone. The whole family got to talk to her! She was really happy to hear the dogs bark.

jtacaj I sent a friend request not sure if that goes in the inbox?

4 letters today.  Does anyone know when we should stop writing?  Do they get mail call after battle stations?

I DID NOT GET ANY MAIL TODAY.  BUT MAYBE TOMORROW.  ITS GETTING CLOSE MY SON SOUNDED GOOD ON THE PHONE SUNDAY.  HE DID NOT SOUND LIKE THE SAME PERSON.  CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM.  HE WILL BE STAYING IN GREAT LAKES FOR A SCHOOL.  BURRRRRRR THIS FLORIDA GUY IS GOING TO FREEZE BEFORE SCHOOL OUT.  BUT HE LOVES IT.
