Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Bootcamp
My son left for bootcamp on Wednesday and I've been crying off and on ever since. I feel so lost not beling able to call him, FB him or contact hm in any way. I never thought it would be this difficult. I'm really struggling. I'm not worried about his safety, just feel so disconnected, like he's gone forever. He is my firstborn too, maybe that's it? I don't know, but he reached this milestone that I feel like I wasn't prepared for. Anyone else feel like that?

Mnozell, do you know what his ship and division are yet? My daughter left the same day, and has the same graduation day. She is on Ship 02, Div 915

Still waiting on my form letter with the Ship and Div info, with mailing address. Do they group them according to the week they report, if so, my son is in the group following your son/daughter? If ends up the same I will get back to you all.

MAJolley yes typically the recruits are grouped together each week. Only the Special Ops (800's divisions) sometimes take a bit to fill so they may have to wait till their division is full. So if your recruit got there last week he will most likely PIR March 2....do you want the link to that group?

I got my letter on Friday, so I wouldn't be surprised if yours came on Tuesday (due to holiday). They won't necessarily be on the same ship and division, there are hundreds of recruits graduating that day.

Just an FYI to all mom's if you do not already know this, the Navy has a FB page also that you can go to when you get your recruits Ship and Div info the link is https://www.facebook.com/NavyRecruitTrainingCommand?sk=app_20298068...
If there is not a FB string someone can make one for the division and ship to keep in touch with the other family members in the division.

I am crying on and off and my son doesn't leave until March 14th. He is my baby, and I am a single mom, raised my kids alone....Not sure what I will do when he leaves. But very very proud of him! He cannot wait to go. I am sure you son was the same way, which means we did our jobs well in raising them.....Congrats to us too.
