For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Bootcamp
My son left for bootcamp on Wednesday and I've been crying off and on ever since. I feel so lost not beling able to call him, FB him or contact hm in any way. I never thought it would be this difficult. I'm really struggling. I'm not worried about his safety, just feel so disconnected, like he's gone forever. He is my firstborn too, maybe that's it? I don't know, but he reached this milestone that I feel like I wasn't prepared for. Anyone else feel like that?

Let me tell you my story. I had a son leave for MARINE bootcamp October 10. Marines get no phone calls until Liberty Sunday, the day after they complete the crucible. They can only write letters. He was supposed to leave in December. Someone couldn't go so he stepped into their slot. On December 1, another son left for the US Navy. He's had phone calls. So it's not as bad. The Marine finally called Sunday, January 1. He graduated January 6. So we were off to Parris Island. Their boot camp is 3 months. Our Navy son graduates February 3. So we are heading out again. Our Marine son left for MCT at Jacksonville, NC, Monday. Then to San Diego. I guess I've got to experience a lot of tears. Not seeing the one Thanksgiving, then both on Christmas. I found a mom's advice on the Marine site to make a scrapbook for graduation. Never had done that before. Our Marine loved it. So I've been working on the Navy book. I painted every room iour house except 2. We have 5 boys and now 2 in the military. I could not be prouder. And trust be, at Graduation, the tears flow again. These are proud/happy tears. Before, they were tears of the unknown. I'd cry on my say to work, if anyone would ask me, I'd cry. After visiting the Marine bootcamp, trust me, new recruiters there in the sand pit with DI's after them, you look at your son as a brand new person.

My son just left yesterday( from Syracuse) to the Great Lakes. It was such a mixed emotion day, I can't imagine how you must have felt Lesa with two! I swear I have cried myself into a sinus infection. Even carried my box of tissues into work with me today. So proud and I know he will do great. This site has provided so much information for me and really normalized my feelings. For that, I am eternally greatful to all you other mothers for sharing your hearts and honesty!

Hi everyone. My SR called me during mid-day today at work!!! What a great surprise. PIR is Feb 3rd and he said thing are moving so fast. Maybe for him. :)). He said his division is posted on facebook but I can't seem to find the correct facebook account. I found Navy Moms facebook and RTC facebook but it has no pictures on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Two weeks and counting.

Is it under U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command? I've been checking that site out, and they do have a lot of pictures of the band, marching, and the flag ceremony. Is he in the 900's divisions? That's the divisions they're normally in.

The pictures I came across were on the FB page U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command across the top. Apparently, there is a contest every week to try to win pictures of your recruit's division on the page. There are alot of pictures of divisions that are closer to graduation there also.

Would pics of my sons division maybe be on there if he graduation date is 3-2-12 or should I check a little later? Also, is it just the 900 divisions or no because he's in division 078? Help please!! Lol!

I think it's groups that are closer to graduation, but I'm going to keep checking periodically anyway. If I had to "guess" I would say it's the 900's, but I don't know for sure. A lot of the pictures were of the band, choir, marching, and the flags.
