Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Just a heads up for those who ordered ribbons and scarves or anything else from me. Some of those orders have already been shipped. I am working on the remainder of those orders over the next day or so and they will be shipping and one their way as I get them done. Be looking for those in the mail from the middle to the end of this week. Let me know if you have any questions. I don't always check the discussion pages so send me a message or friend request and I will get back to you ASAP. Thanks again for the orders. Lora (aka Lala)

Hi new navy wife here my husband graduates on the 27th as well...have me of you heard of the stomach flu situation...I guess a bunch of the recruits were very I'll with it and mine ended up in treatment with 3 bags of I'VS and a bunch of medications! He said he would write me back the next day and hasn't! I'm extremely worried! His letter was dated the 10th of jan so he should of written the 11th and it's now the 20th and I haven't heard ne thing!!! Not to mention the 12th was our sons 7th bday and there's no way he would just not write him...even if he could only write him 2 sentences! Has ne one heard ne thing?

I can only relay what others have written... 1)  "No news is good news", I know it's hard but as far as basic training goes - this seems to be the rule.  2)  If he were too sick to continue he would be pushed back (forgot the acronym) to another graduation date and you would receive a call telling you so.  3)  If he were too sick to continue at all, he would be sent home and you would receive a call telling you so.  4)  Back to #1 - just pray for your SR and try to keep busy... hopefully, you will hear from him soon!
