Anyone else? He left on The 13th and I haven't heard anything from him. It's just too early right?

Hi Ship 12 Div 074 Friends and Family!! Don't forget to go on Facebook's site "U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command", today at 1PM (Philadelphia time) for the trivia challenge. Hopefully we can win a picture of our Recruits this week!! I'm dying to see my son, and I'm sure you'd like to see a picture of your future Sailor too!! Good Luck!!

Got a letter from my son.  Said they get phone calls on Saturday the 21st at 4pm if everyone acts right.  I will be waiting since I missed his first call!!

I got a letter yesterday saying the same thing!!! :) I was worried because I was scheduled to work at 5 EST, but I talked to my manager and she is letting me come in at 6 EST instead so I can talk to him!! :) I am so excited. Did anyone else get a really quick call last night? He called to tell us that the password had changed for PIR. Don't know if everyone got too or not, because he got sent back a week and he might have just gotten too since we had the password for the 2/10 PIR, not his new one, 2/17. But he said they are still scheduled to call at 4 p.m. CST on Saturday! :) So everyone be by your phones! :)

Oh my gosh!! Another call already! That's so awesome! I should just be finishing up my trunk show by then!

My DIL got a phone call this evening, but only 5 mins. Apparently it didn't go so well this week & there are a few who "still don't get it".  Praying for them all & a better week coming.

I got the same call. Only five minutes :(

Remeber tomorrow is Trivia Day. 1pm EST. Since we aren't getting those phone calls, lets try to get a picture of them!

We got the phone call too on Saturday, barely 5 minutes, definately a bummer. We did get to talk to him for about 45 minutes last Thursday night, he earned it for scoring high on a test, it was a choice of the phone call or getting out of "IT" I think he called it. He chose the call! I thought he was crazy for not getting out of the IT, espescially since he said they were supposed to get the call on Saturday, he did say that they could take it away at any time though. He is writing lots of letters. He writes his fiance every day, and me about once or twice a week, he also has been writing some friends and other family members. Its so nice, especially since when my other son who was in Boot Camp for the Marine Corps, didn't get one phone call for the entire 13 weeks they were there, and barely a letter a week. But like some of the Navy Dads & Moms say, in that case "No news is good news" , If you do receive a call from there, its usually because your Marine Recruit is really, really sick, or he/she is being set back. So as bad as this seems, I know it could be much worse. I will be glued to the Facebook Page tomorrow once again to try for our Divisions Picture!! I work at a court house, and every now and then, these computers freeze up or move very slow, like last week!! I was so mad!! OK Ship 12 Div 074, we can do this!! This Mommy wants to see her Sailor Recruits handsome face!! HOOYAH!!

By the way, I have to disconnect from the "online chat" on here, when I'm trying to type or look something up, because that just about locks my computer up.....just in case anyone else is at work and having these issues.

Good morning everyone! Only 21 days left; WOO HOO! No photo of our guys this week. :-(   Maybe next week.  My boss will be away so I can devote a bit more time to making sure I'm ready to go.

Jillbro, it must be something about having a government job with computers freezing.  I work on a Joint Staff base &  mine does the same thing, but no challenges at home.

Hoping for a phone call this weekend.  My husband just left for Kansas this morning so if my SR gets a chance to call me, after he calls his wife of course, I get the call all to myself.  NO Sharing!!!!

My SR is writing to everyone who has written to him, so I usually only get one letter per week.  I'm okay with that because all of the family share what he has written to them.

Hope you all have a great day and may the mail person be good to you!

my mail guy learned that i stalk him lol!

Hi fellow PIR 02/17 family!  If you guys want to try the scarf color idea for the grad day, it's just so your division can stick out in the crowd, and if you all let your SR know what color you will be wearing it makes for a BIG BIG happy support boost!  Please see lala's post on the PIR 02/17 page, and start spreading the word!  She say's she still has time to make them and ship (as well as the ribbons if you would like them)  But I just got a piece of fleece from the fabric store and cut it into 4 scarves, new sewing needed!  Each division can pick a color, and post your decision on the main PIR 02/17 page?  I believe the division my SR is in (03/070)is going with Green (and white! ha ha)And read the main PIR page about the BS blue candle burning idea, it will do your heart good like it does mine  :)
