For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hey does anyone have battlestation dates? If so please let me know probably via facebook private message. I don't know how to private message on this site.
My son didn't give me a date on the phone yesterday.

My son didn't mention a date either. It sounds as though they are really going to be busy up until the 3rd. He asked us not to send any mail after the 23rd because he said he probably wouldn't get to read it. I was thrilled we got to talk for such a long time.
After seeing what the weather is like there now, I am hoping it won't be like that in 2 weeks! -

That's the truth but my mother-in-law called and said the weather is supposed to stay really cold. I feel like I need to wear my ski clothes up there!! It is hard to pack all that bulky stuff!

Try rolling it or space bags. You don't have to have a vacuum...just put it in and roll it up and then finish sealing it...or lay on it and finish sealing it. Be careful when rolling or using the space bags though...you can pack more in and the weight climbs up!

That's true, I forgot about that. I plan on just wearing alot of it so I don't have to pack it! This week where I live the weather has been from the 20's to the 80's with in 4 days time.

Seeing all the posts from Moms that got the call about not passing battlestations has me very nervous. I am so anxious to hear from my son now. I wonder if they will test tomorrow or Monday. Are any of you in Orlando?

I think 057 anhd 058 Battle Stations is Monday Night but could be Sunday night. I guess I am not seeing the info about calls not passing them I will have to read further. I'm in Texas.

This has nothing to do with Battlestations. but my son said they won the Captians Cup!

my daughter called as well. She was all excited that they had won Captains Cup and that it was almost over. She represented the division in situps and did 151 in 3 minutes. She said the SR that she is best friends with ended up being the same rate so she is happy that they will be there to support each other during school. the division has gotten all their flags and everyone has finally really come together, much happier and relaxed than she was 8 weeks ago.

We talked to our son for a long time last night. Sounded great! Excited about the Captains Cup as well, He ran a leg of the relay with a 40 lb. duffel bag. Really liked the firefighting last week. Feels they're ready for battlestations and looking forward to graduation! We are too!

My son doesn't think they are ready for Battlestations but he said their RTC said they will get them through it. My son got to shake the Captain's hand after Captain's cup and he said that it was the neatest thing that's happened to him. He was very honored. The Captain said "good job recruit". He said he ran a leg of the relay and got way ahead of the other divisions, I think he said he did pull ups and also Volleyball. It sounds like they all had to contribute and pulled together to get it done. Excitement was certainly in the air. That should carry over for Battlestations and the drill they still must do.
