Any one with loved ones in this division yet? My daughter left Dec 12th. I haven't received a letter yet from her, but I was able to get the Information from the recruiter.

Hi everyone!

I received another letter and this one elaborated more on the grim reaper flag. lol, she said the Cheif picked out the Reaper because she wanted something dark to go on the other side. & the people making the flag decided all the designs. The main side has an "eagle with some other stuff" and the eagle design is what will go on the Tshirts and Sweatshirts not the Reaper. The flag colors are Blue one side and Silver on the other. One of the other divisions has a "ship and Octopus legs and the other side a transformer and like a compass start thing"

She said starting Monday they have to get up at 4am everyday and they have 15 min to be completely ready. Also,Monday they are going to have their 2nd PFA and because people cant pass they secured all deserts and unhealthy food. They also will have a PI/WI inspection (personal/weapons) they did get a practice run for both.

They are now back up to 100 people in the division.

She said they might get one more call before battle stations, but no promises. I'm guessing it will have to do with how well they do this week with all the tests and inspections. So now we know why they call it "hell week"! Lets go 071, kick some butt this week!!!!

Hi Tish!

Well it certainly sounds like you know what they are all going through.  I need a timeline.  Zach told me about PT testing and so far that is it.  He said he and his buddies can't wait to get to Florida for A school and stand on the beach with a beer and cigarette.  I was hoping he had quit both of those by now - ha ha.  I did get some material today to make some scarfs but I couldn't find an anchor yet.  Still looking for that.  I did however find some material to make my grandson a Navy blanket for him to support his "daddy" at PIR.  I wonder if they will sale any of those tshirts to us.  Hmmm.....

When is Hell week?  Battlestations is the week before PIR isn't it?  Let me know if you know please.  Thanks a bunch!  PS - are you from Riverside????

Jil

Here is a timeline I found on here....

http://www.navydep.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433

It may not be exact to what they have been doing because they have had so many holidays to set them back, but it is pretty close according to what my daughter is telling me they are doing.

This week is Hell week, and they were told the day they are doing battlestations, but we are not supposed to give that info on these sites so I'll message it to you.

I'm from a small city just outside of Milwaukee Wisconsin...50 miles from bootcamp, its so hard not to drive down there on the weekends and just sit outside and try to catch a glimps of them marching or something! lol

Hope this helps!

Thank you so very much!  I haven't had the chance to browse that much on the website.  I guess I need to find the time.  I am so looking forward to meeting you!

Wow. The girls sure do give out more details thn the guys do. I get the tighty whiteys suck.

My husband has not mentioned anything about the flag. I tried to send him a questionnaire to get more detailed answers on questions I had but it didn't really work. All my letters are just filled with missing and loving my daughter and I and complaining about what everyone else does wrong and them all getting punished for it. lol. He did say his feet are so sore from having to run alot. He also mentioned he got into trouble just once and it was for not shaving his face (they have to every single day) I don't know how they noticed, it takes him a whole month to get 10 little whiskers, he has such a baby face. His face is probably so sore from shaving skin everyday. ouch. LOL to the tighty whiteys! HAHA. I have not heard any complaints on the underwear. LOL

omg, that was sooo funny!!!! I have been waiting for my daughter to complain about the girls granny panties but nothing yet, and trust me when I say she wears the total opposite of granny panties!!!! lol

My son complained about the tighty whiteys. We got a letter today. Again this is the third in a row that I didn't cry while reading it.

4 AM!!!  Bless their hearts.  I know in my SR's letter last week he said that he had to be up at 4:15 the next morning.  I didn't know it was going to be a regular occurrence. I pray for him and the Division every morning at 5:45 Central Time thinking I'm praying for them before they get up.   Don't think I'll have that early morning prayer if they are up at 4:00 AM.

your prayers are very much appreciated, unc, the good news is that the 4am wake ups were just for week 4, and tomorrow is the last day of week 4!  I know they will all be so glad to see Saturday this week!

Week 5-2 (tuesday) they will get their second round of shots. About 6 including another peanut butter! My daughter is dreading that one again. My Son said he didn't get a 2nd peanut butter shot (which he believed was penicillin) in bootcamp so he was puzzled they were doing it twice now.  Anyway, expect letters late next week complaining of sore behinds!

Hoping for a letter today, anxious to find out how they did on the PFA. Have a great day everyone!

WOW I had no idea..My daughter doesnt give much details..HAHA She said is getting beter and she cant wait for battlestations..That is the real test..We wish them all the best of luck..Cant wait to meet all of you soon..HOOYAH>>

Have a great day all you moms..Cause of all of you I am getting through our weeks without our daughter  home..Our older 2 kids miss her as well..SOON it will be Feb 17th..
