Thats great Everyone,

I bought my plane tickets last week. Southwest was having a sale on plane tickets so I hopped on that oppertunity. I will be flying to Midway and my SR's grandparents and Mother will be picking me up from the airport. Im flying from Philadelphia and my SR's family are all from Delaware which is were I live when im not in school. The receptionist at the hotel was telling me to bring a scarf, a hat, and gloves cause its very snowy there right now. lol kinda what im dealing with now in philly. I told my SR's family about Sarge's meet and great. They said it sounds like fun but i don't know if they made a final decision to go or not. I would love to go to meet some of you. My SR's keeps telling me how excited he is too see me. =] Im so ready for this graduation!

As far as A school, A school is depending on their job that they pick before they go to boot camp. My SR will be going to A school in San Antonio, Texas.

My son will also be going to San Antonio. He is going to be a Corpsman. Is that what your SR will be doing as well? We are from upstate NY so cold, snow and wind don't scare us! Although we are out of shape as it has been an unusually warm winter. What snow we had is melted. I am guessing that is not the case with Great Lakes though. Before we head out for PIR we will need to exchange names...Celeste is my real name but I'm guessing IowaMom and chizzledee are not:) I LOVE seeing the days/hours/minutes ticking away on that countdown. Makes me really happy!

Today I wore my new Navy Mom shirt out in public. I was busting with pride and thrilled to show it off! Somethings are worth bragging about and knowing what these guys are going through makes me all the more want to share how selfless and strong they all are to do this for our country. I am blessed.

Celeste- You said it so well!  I am so proud of all these guys.  I know they have had to learn to work hard (together) and they have (I KNOW) become better men thanks to our United States Navy.  All of our plans are ready and I can not wait to meet everyone!  We will be going to Sarge's Meet and Greet.  A few days before we go we should exchange names.  I have tried very hard not to say or post anything that might effect our guys. So, lets wait until then. I to come from the cold and the winter has been amazingly warm. Let's keep it that way :)  NO PLANE DELAYS! I am ready!!

Oh, Celeste-  My parents lived in San Antonio for many years.  Took our children there many times for vacation.  You will love visiting the area!!

Well, if he indeed does end up there (I hear plans can change at a moments notice, so flexible is the name of the game!) I would love some advice on places to go and things to see! I hear that it is a most beautiful place and that the restaurants are to die for. Hopefully, my son will be able to tool around with us. Not sure what it is like when they are in A school. Do they get free time to go off base? Are they allowed to have laptops and phones? I am looking for a new laptop now myself so that we can Skype when he is able! If we can't be together, we can at least see each other when we talk.

I would love too. I do not know what the rules are yet at A school. We will need to learn that too. I am also going to learn to Skype!

I will learn to Skype as well (just learned what Skype is a year ago). My SR going to boot camp sure has stretched me beyond what I ever thought I am capable of when it comes to the computer.

Yes, Celeste, we sure are blessed. I am so proud of ALL of our SRs.

My SR chose Aviation Electronic Computer System Tech (I have no idea what that entails.I must google it) for his job. I am pretty sure he feels he is scheduled to go to Pensacola (if things do not change). Does anyone else have a SR with that job and is scheduled for Pensacola?

Meeting all of you is almost as hard for which to wait, as getting to see my SR at PIR, so I am glad we will exchange names. Thank God the time is drawing near.

My SR is Master at Arms. He was told San Antoinio but that could change. you never know. My SR also told me that he was told that he won't be able yo have his phone for 2 weeks in A school but then he said can we bring his phone to graduation cause he's lost without it. lol i don't know im kinda confused. Yes i agree about exchanging real names at the last week before we all fly out to graduation. Hopefully ill be able to go over there to sarge's meet & greet. If my SR's mom and grandparent don't want to go ill just go by myself.

I am also so proud of our SR's. It takes so much to get through this process. It is a total different change of scenery. but they are pushing through and the 17th is getting closer and closer! My SR keeps telling me that when he's done bootcamp he'll be ready to propose and purchase my engagment ring. lol we'll see what happens. Im so ready to marry my SR :)

Well ladies 18 more days. I can't believe how close we are. We didn't get a letter last week. My last letter said they had some intense training last week and this week. He did say they are starting to work together better. I'm so excited I can't wait till get there. Hotel reservations are made. Yeah!

Wow! 2 weeks from tomorrow!!! If anyone would have told me when I began this journey with my SR, that the days would fly by, I would have never believed it! But now that we are soooo close it seems that the count down is coming faster and faster! I am grateful!!!! I am hoping for a letter today. I did get one last week that was short and sweet but at least it was written. My SR gives no details. Did say that the training is still intense but I am guessing that is to best prepare them for Battlestations. Keep the prayers going...clearly they are working!

Ok ladies. I have to confess..I have been stalking other ladies from Ship 03 but different divisions to compare notes and see what they know that we might not. I am reading that hell week has ended (1/29...really glad I didn't know he was going through that!) but that this week was super busy. Photos happened, probably that means that they have ordered their packages for graduation. sounded like tomorrow is the gas chamber experience. Can not begin to imagine that one. These poor kids are truly going through experiences I could never imagine. God Bless them. Apparently it is also the day of a big test, sounds like one they need to pass in order to go to Battlestations. From what I read that will be the 8th and 9th. I guess there is some kind of a "race" to see who wins 1st place in acquiring their ribbons. From some of the comments, other SRs in other divisions feel the same way as our guys did. They talk of the division not working together as a unit and the RDCs yelling and threatening them as well. So I guess that is part of the package and at least our guys are right there in the mix. Any of you hear any of this?? STILL no letter today.,.killing me. I guess we just need to keep up the prayers. These boys are truly working to capacity. I couldn't be more proud of what they are doing and enduring with such dignity and pride. We couldn't be more blessed.

Celeste, I love that you were checking out other divisions comments.  It sure made me laugh.  It is reassuring to see that they are all in the same boat, no pun intended :) I got a letter from my SR today and he seems to be happy. He shared some accomplishments he has made and is pleased with his progress in bootcamp.  He did tell me that they cannot have any electronics at "A" school until after Phase "2", which is about 2-3 weeks.  Now I know I don't have to lug a laptop and cell phone to Great Lakes.  My SR is not a fan of writing letters,(we have gotten four).  However, I have learned so much about our division from you wonderful ladies and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.  Also, I love opening my email and seeing that someone has left a post. It gives me comfort!
