Hi all- I received a letter dated Sunday the 29th. She said Hell week is finally over but this coming week is just as busy. wake-ups are at 6am though. Deserts are still secured. Monday they were to get haircuts & division pictures. Tuesday (today) they are going to the NEX & they get their final round of shots. They still had not told them how they did on live fire, but they have to buy their ribbons today so they should know by now.
They did get their Drill (marching) flag. Yea for them!!
& everyone who had taken the 2nd written test had passed it. :-)
Wed & Thurs she thinks is firefighting and Friday is the gas (confidence) chamber, and then their 3rd and final PFA. Tuesday the 7th is the final marching inspections and the 3rd written test, and wed is the final PI/DMI. They have to pass the PFA & the written test to move on to Battlestations. So they are under a lot of pressure to pass.
If they all pass the PI/DMI with a 5.0 they get an hour phone call....BUT that is extremely tough to do cuz if you have even a thread sticking out its a hit. Despite all that, she sounded great...just ready for it to be over and can't wait to see us.
Wow Great info Tish! She certainly gives all the details =) I am scared for them with the gas chamber! I don't know if I could do it, I would be petrified. So close! Tomorrow is February 1st! Hard to believe its finally here
THANKYOU TISH for all the wonderful details..
I know right,,The gas chamber..I would have left along time ago..I love to hear about the hour phone call.Praying for all of them to pass with flying colors..I saw the photo packages they have listed..WOW those are just as much as Kara HS grad photos were..WOW Hope all of you are having a great night..
Sherry Blevins
Thank you Tish, such great info. I never get these details, so the sharing is much appreciated. Have a great evening everyone!
I feel as if I'm stalking the mail man in hopes of a letter today letter. Needing a letter today.. Missing him today, everyday, counting the days. I hear his voice telling me "mom I'm fine, you don't have to worry about me". Just like always, but it's been over a week sense his last letter. It's making me a bit nervous. rrr where is the mail!! I need to go out and do something I think. I guess I'll just have to go shopping for more supplies.. (Navy Scarfs of course - all these request are keeping me busy - thank you!).. ;)
