Celeste-Thank you so much.

Hi All - I received a letter from my SR today (Saturday, Feb. 4.) His letter was dated Jan. 31. It was a very short letter, but I was thrilled to hear from him. He said when Battlestations is for their division-069 (The day is a little off from what I read for other divisions in the same ship.) Since we were told not to list dates here, I won't (don't want to get them in trouble.) But, if you send me a private message, we can compare notes.

He said they got the killer shot to the rear. It hurt like you know what.

As he began and  ended his letter, I echo to you... We are finally almost done. Thank God! It is almost over. We will be seeing them soon. YEA!

Hello all! I too heard from my SR and he sounded fabulous! He has real voice and strength in his letters now and he is very focused on getting to Battlestations. He said that the division had taken their 2nd test (letter was dated 1/26) and they all did really well on the test and drill inspection. He said they because they did well they can now sing cadence as a group in the streets and can travel about the base w/o an RDC. So our men have found their groove:) God is GREAT! They are all ready and anxious to get to the final test and by the sound of things, they are now a division. Let's keep all of our SRs and all of the recruits in prayer for these next few days as they work hard to earn that call home and the right to be called a SAILOR! 10 days left!!!!! We are on the home stretch ladies!

So I am pretty late in finding this forum :) since our guys are almost done!!! I added you as a friend to message you and see what date you have...I got two letters Saturday dated 1/30 and 2/1 so I thought we could compare notes! some of us ladies have a facebook group from the RTC facebook page and some of our SR's have told us different dates :) So excited we are almost done!!!

Celeste-thank you for sharing. I'm so happy for our guys. Would love to hear them sing and march down the street :)

Hi All! I am a mom from Ship 12 Div 074 and I have been reviewing your comments as well as other PIR 2/17 groups also. I want to get as much info on what's happening as I can absorb. My son will be going to San Antonio for Corpsman A school.  Yes, they can have their electronic devices down there. Our plan is to go to the airport the day he flies out (probably Sat.) and give him his phone, etc.  For the MA SR mom, that school is also in San Antonio. Hope everyone has a great Navy Day!

My son is going to San Antonio for Corpsman A School as well! I have never been, neither has he, but I hear it is beautiful there. 8 more days...ladies, we can do this. We have come so far and the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter! Thank you for the information about electronic devices. I will bring them along as well and we too will be going to the airport. I understand that they have a special room for families to wait with their Sailors before they ship out. I don't care where we sit or how long just as long as we are able to be together!

I have not heard about the airport as well as what day they are to leave. My son said it is still unclear as to if he will leave that Friday ;( or even as late as Sunday! Got a letter yesterday but it was well before BS so still no update. Amazing how good I am sleeping now! One week from today..YaHoo!!

This time next week we get to see our new sailors!!  YES I am sleeping good now ;)  .....

I am getting so excited, I cant stand myself :) !!  I am so ready to go!

I am ready TODAY!  LOL .... apparently some of the group that are graduating today went on the 12th December with my SR ..... they graduate today WOOHOO!!

Today I received some ribbons I ordered from Lala Ribbon Queen commemorating my son's graduation and I can not begin to tell you how beautiful they are! she did a phenomenal job and they look so distinguished! Now, I've got to go out shopping to get an outfit to do them justice! Can you imagine, one week from now we won't be able to text each other, we'll be too busy eating dinner with our Sailors!!! I just can't believe it!!!!
