Anyone with division 081? Okay, I took a chance and booked flights before I got my letter, $117 Boston to Chicago roundtrip. Finalizing staying at Keylime Cove $113/night. We will have both the PIR and a birthday to celebrate that weekend!

I know! I can hardly wait!

I got mine too. Sooo exciting!!!! I am a very happy person now. I had a really bad day at work, and this just totally flipped my mood!

Welp, no call for me :'(

Ohh, HannahKathryn, so sorry you didn't get a call!! I know that must be hard. Where is your bf from? My son gave me lots of info on the division. He says he is "tight" with a bunch of guys from the South, Georgia, etc. Don't forget tomorrow is Sunday, and more letters will be coming your way!! Honestly, the letters were better than hearing his voice. He has a cold, had it since he got there, and his voice sounded down, but I wouldn't cry, which kept him from breaking down as well. His letters were written on a daily basis, starting with Day 5, through this past Sunday, Day 19. It was amazing to see the change over the 2 weeks, in the writing. I was sure he was going to sound great when I talked to him, but I think it sent him back to missing us so much. We are getting closer every day to PIR! He said their division is down to 67, from 84, so be PROUD!!

My daughter is sick too! In fact, she told me that she had to go to the doctor the other day to get meds. So, hopefully she will get better in a few days.

I agree - PIR is getting so close, I cannot wait! Hopefully I can meet some of you ladies at Sarge's meet & greet.

My guess is he probably called his parents. He had some complications, I won't go into detail, and probably wanted to talk to them, which I understand. I just really wanted to hear his voice. I miss him so much and it just feels like since he has left, a part of me is missing. He is from Pennsylvania.

It is official though, I can't go to his graduation. He has an open spot, but he told me that there was no point in me coming. He is a Nuke and he pretty much gets to say hello to his family and then pack his bags and head to the airport to fly down to Goose Creek. He said if he a bigger time span of when he could see his family and such, he would have loved to see me. He wants me to save my money for the trip I am taking to see him this summer for my birthday. I know the letters are probably better than getting a call because you can reread them, but it just would have been nice to hear his voice again.

Just wanted to let all of you know that division 082 is their sister division, the females of the 2 divisions bunk together, and the males bunk together, they have 2 of just about everything, to Mail PO I know for a fact. Just thought I would share :)

Okay, so my son said they were in Processing for 2 weeks!! Yesterday, Friday, they were on day 2-5, "but don't worry Mom, graduation is still March 9" They are a "Push" division, which means they are going at an accellerated pace to graduate on time. They earned their first flag on Thursday, for their test, they got I think he said 4.0 on it. They passed their 3 inspections last week which moved them to the "second phase" of the 3 phases of bootcamp. They had their second uniform fittings, on Thursday, I believe, and received their NWUs, dress uniforms and their Peacoats. Did anyone get any info on their division flag? A color or something? There seems to be quite a few of us N4Ms planning to go to Sarge's MeetnGreet, other divisions are choosing a color scarf or something to identify themselves. Anyone interested? I didn't ask about the division flag in the phone call, but I will in a letter, if no one else knows.

That sounds good to me. Let me know if you hear, so I can place the order for a scarf with my ribbon order.

I was too told they got the flag, but didn't say what it looked like. I think we are going to sarges meet and greet as well so whatever yall do, let me know and we will go along!

Oops, those uniforms were NSUs, dress and peacoat. They got their NWUs a while ago, Friday Jan. 20th, from what I can tell in the letters.

My son says the day they got the NWUs he and the guys "were doing our "sexy and I know it" thing (obviously)HAHA." That is straight from one of the letters, I have some good quotes to add to the list of top funny things they send home in their letters, that is one of them.

Also:

"Today was the day we got our freaking shots. Mike complains about charlie horses? HA!!! Have him get this shot right up his left cheek so he can't walk straight or sit straight all damn day." (Mike is my husband)

"Saturday night in a bunk at 8PM with 80+ guys? I could think of a few better ways to spend my time."

I LOVE them

Haha, my boyfriend said he got like 7 or 8 shots all at like the same time. The peanut butter shot was the worst though. He said "It was a needle that kissed my left butt cheek and it numbed it for two days. It was pure torment, it was like a charlie horse for 48 hours straight" He said that he got his NWUs and he dug it because it was blue.
