Been seeing where a lot of moms are posting that their recruits will be staying at Great Lakes after graduation for Pre-Bud training?

I think this is addtional training, not their A school (?) What is Pre-Bud? How long does that last? Who has to go thru Pre-Bud?

Thanks in advance, Learning something new everyday on this site!

Too cute :)
lol Mary....;^)
My husband was also a sailor and as to whether the ground shakes - that's kind of personal . . . but we have been married almost 25 years:)! . . . AND I was born and raised in the SF Bay Area - earthquakes aren't bad.
Tornadoes scare me. Although I am not fond of earthquakes, they last for a moment and then it is over. Where did you guys meet all these sailors???? I am now wishing I had one!!!! Oh I do....my son, but that doesn't count!!!!
you are so funny ....and Joyce too
I just would like to say that I take my cover off to those who attempt the Navy SEAL's. Much braver than myself. Forgive me if I have offended any of you.
Christopher
Speaking for myself, I'm hard to offend. After all I was the wrestling team's "mom" for eight years and wrestler's can be quite offensive:)!
LOL TOOO True :)
But I have no problem getting on the mat with anyone.
I raised that wrestler you know !!
I just got back on for a coffee break.. Christopher, you ARE A BRAVE MAN for getting in the middle of this group. They really do have a sense of humor, but as you guess we are mom's, daughters, wives of different branches. My father (AKA biological BOB) was an army recruiter.
Well put! Today I am the daughter of a retired cop and the mother of a Navy almost Sailor and soon to be mother of another one. I used to tell people when I was a kid....Do you know who my Dad is????? Well then......
Yes. PVE is just down the street. We were over there at one point. Now we are in the Portuguese Bend. I sit right on one of the slides. It is lovely! But I am down on the beach so I can't really complain. Trumps is just south of me. Right next door!
My dad was one of the 4 developers of PV :)
Thats my claim to fame !! LOL
My sister is at Newport Coast ( not beach ....... LOL that is down the hill )
Yes it is pretty there :)
My dream was to go to Pepperdine. BUT alas my family was all from USC :( So stupidly I just moved to Oregon instead. Ahh regrets !
