Son left 12/5/11. Just received the form letter. He's Ship 12 Div 058. PIR 2/3/12. Got a very short note saying the Petty Officers were killing them. That was alarming, but then at the end, his usual sarcasm of "I'm alive so stop freaking out." That made me feel much better. Anyone else??????

We bought our son an iphone for his graduation and gave it to him Friday afternoon. He was thrilled. We had downloaded his contacts and favorite songs etc. He was in Ricky Heaven with that phone. Of course then we had to go to the airport at 2:00 am to give it to him because we didn't dare chance it on base after Liberty for those 4 hours he was there.
