For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 09 Division 086 PIR March 9
This is my first time on this site after joining and am having a hard time missing my son today. I have been crying off and on all day. He has been gone a month and I have only received his box and a form letter with no personal message. Is there anyone out there that I connect with in this division so that I can feel closer to my son? I would also like to know if anyone has any update on this ship and division. On the RTC facebook site others are saying they are receiving letters now and some have been getting phone calls this week. I have a sick feeling that something is wrong and that is why I have not heard anything. It is that mother feeling I have had all day. They say no news is good news, but this is drinving me nuts. I thought it was suppose to easier as time goes by.

Right now the only thing you can do is write to your son and give him some encouragement. This is not an easy task for him and he will need your support. As parents we prepare our children to one day go out into the world as adults, however we never prepare for the separation. My son left on 1/31/12, I have recieved his box and nothing else. Still awaiting his form letter or a letter from him so I can write. I am dying to find out how he is making out. I don't even know his division or ship number and its been almost two weeks. This is very cruel to the mothers. Im sure or at least hoping your son is ok, have a little faith in him. He will call or write first chance they allow. Be patient most importantly be prepared for the call. As I said before he will need your support and I am sure he misses you just as much as you miss him.
