Tish...would be awesome to get a family photo with the 3 of them in their uniforms. Ha u can wear your navy scarf in it :) makes me weepy thinking of it. U think I wouldn't get teary anymore since we will be seeing him in a week but I still am.

HI Mom and Tish, was wondering by your emails. Do you guys know each other?

Small world isnt it..

Has anyone heard from Valente..I got a letter from her yesterday...It was great hearing from her...

Also from Griffin..Is anyone here by that last name,.It was great hearing from her as well..

Have a great weekend everyone~~

I agree, I told Sarah that we have to get a "professional" family pic done next time we are all together, in their uniforms is a great idea!!!!

I am weepy too! I think it's all that pride in my heart leaking out of my eyes!!! :-)

I can't believe its snowing here in Milwaukee today!!!! it's like a blizzard out there, we have had spring like weather for the last 2 1/2 weeks and I was so hoping it would stay that way until after our PIR!!  good news is Chicago's 10 day forecast says light snow maybe thursday only and temps in the 40's for the whole weekend.  Dress warm everyone!

My sister got a letter from valente. She and a bunch of people from her work wrote to her. I wrote to gill and she wrote back a couple of times. Feels like I've known many of u for a long time like it seems with Tish but ill meet Tish & everyone else next week!! Has anyone heard of a family with the last name Miranda?

That is awsome..I dont know Miranda.>Some Else asked about that Sr too..

I get excited when I get email in our inbox from my site..NAVYMOMS>>My new family..

Me too, cant wait til we all meet in person..Hope we stay in touch afterwards..

My name is Sherry what is yours?? I am not sure if we will be able to make the Greet and meet,

We will just see when we get to our room..Hope and pray about the weather..Hope it stays low for us..

I received a letter from Gill & Valente. Unfortunately, Gill was asmod back, but Valente will graduate with our Sailors on Friday. I have heard the name Miranda also, but I dont remember from where.

Joanne has talked about Miranda on here with me. Her son my husband and Miranda are like a trio at boot camp. Wish his mom knew about this site so she could be on here with us =).

I'm Joanne. We r from Ohio near cleveland. We are arriving there thursday sometime. We r from ohio so the weather doesn't really matter to us. We are used to crappy weather coming off lake erie. Its usually about the same as chicago sometimes. We have had a great winter so far so I can't complain. As long as its not too bad to travel. I will get there even if we have to sled dog & sled it the whole way!!! My son is in this division and I'm ashamed to say I haven't done any scarfs yet because I am so not crafty. I've been putting it off. Maybe sunday ill take a peek thru Joann fabrics and see if I can figure out something. To me that's just scary.

Joanne- you crack me up!!!! I can just picture you sliding in on a dog sled, lol

no worries about the scarf, Darlene was bringing a few extras (tell her to tag you one) and I may have an extra one too I'll bring. :-)   See ya soon!!!

For any newbies to this forum... our scarf color is bright yellow for div 071, and no specific color for the ribbons.

5 days and a wake up!!!!

Captain's cup competition today!!! Bring it home Sailors for 071!!!!!!    HOOYAH!

Haha our basset hound wouldn't appreciate being a sled dog for sure!! He would be the one riding while I pulled the sled. Ill attempt a scarf and let everyone know if its passable. If it isn't we have our shirts so it will be ok.
