Been seeing where a lot of moms are posting that their recruits will be staying at Great Lakes after graduation for Pre-Bud training?

I think this is addtional training, not their A school (?) What is Pre-Bud? How long does that last? Who has to go thru Pre-Bud?

Thanks in advance, Learning something new everyday on this site!

So where are we going to meet? I'm still in Louisiana, but Wade,(soon to be disinherited if he doesn't contact me) is still in A school. Taylor starts boot camp in Sept, so my next PIR should be Oct. or Nov in RTC
This is sounding better and better to me! Hopefully our PIR ends up at the same time! I am fairly free in the summer and am able to do what I want. What state would we meet in? I am game for anything!
What does PIR stand for? Parachute Infantry Regiment?
Chris
